It would be pretty strange to think that the area before Yogg Saron's prison has always been a twisted, corrupt temple dedicated to the praise of an Old God. Clearly - in *happier* times - there must have been a final arbiter. A jailor of sorts.

So he replaced his broken arm with a tentacle?
Though honestly, this seems like a blue cop-out, unless you want to make the case that Tyr somehow spawned the entire race of the faceless.
Edit: as the poster below me made note of, earlier it seemed like Tyr had a special lore role; the fact that Vezax doesn't at any point in any way reference tyr in quotes, lore, or quests or whatever makes me think that this is a "A wizard did it!" situation.

Maybe Vezax ate him!
Or...
Contrast that with
Q u o t e: Tyr went on a path he felt he must follow... whether or not we learn about this journey remains to be seen.

Is vezaxx an artist? Cause that stained glass with the creepy eyes and tentacles is very nicely done for a fish/octupus/lobster guy.

I dunno. Now that I think about, I sort of prefer the idea that Tyr went insane from Yogg's influence, became obsessed with his kitties, and wandered the halls of Ulduar in drag.

Who says it wasn't a retcon and Tyr was always female?
