I keep getting this scrolling down my chat window while I'm in BG. Anybody know what it's from?

I hear this one is from WIM...update is available for the addon

It can be caused by a number of addons. The best solution to figure out which, is to start disabling them in increments of 5 (my personal preference).

If you aren't gonna be helpful, then please don't post replies. I'll do some research and see which of my addons is causing the problem as no one wants to be helpful.

LOLZ I thought that other's guys post was pretty much a "I don't know what's causing it so here's something you can try"

What would be worse ? No posts at all from someone trying to help fix it so people bump the thread ? Or someone attempting to help?

The binary method of addon elimination works pretty fast - you can thin down 100 addons in around 8 passes of it.

Personally I can tell you that most of the authors who talk on the #wowuidev IRC channel and forum regulars at the UI & Macro's forum already know about this problem :) You would of gotten more help there :)

Basically what is happening is Blizzard changed SendAddonMessage so if it does fail to send to raid it no longer fails silenty and you get this message. SendAddonMessage used to fail completely silently. You only get this message in Battlegrounds when not in a party or raid apparently

Possible addons to update (including wiping your SavedVariable files for the addons) :

DBM
WIM
Anything using the LibHealComm-3.0 library
Anything else sending SendAddonMessage to the raid channel when in a Battleground but not in a raid or party.

Now I understand that LHC's been updated with this bug in mind. Not sure about the others:

2 Authors have come up with band aid type fixes for this error. Bear in mind though eventually you should be able to turn either of these addons off as most of the addon authors I know are working on bug fixes for their addons
