Shoulders for sure. And I'm probably not going to to sit around and wait for a trophy to come my way, either, I want the t9 bonuses ASAP. 60 badges gets me the 2 piece.
If I get lucky and score a trophy, then yay, but not liking my chances.

It's a new thing you can turn in along with Triumph Badges to get the 245 item level T9 set pieces (the medium level of T9). The drop in 25 man normal and I assume 10 man heroic Coliseum.

I am not sure if the 10 man drops trophies or not. I did the 25 man last week but not the 10 man. Can anyone verify... when I get back i guess i will google it heh.

I got a trophy last night, but I'm getting the gloves with it. The conquest gloves not having a gem socket (while being meh anyway) makes the 9.5 gloves the biggest upgrade atm.

10 man normal does not drop the Trophy, but speculation is that the Heroic version will when it's unlocked.

already bought t9 shoulders to replace t7.5, probably shouldve saved for the ring but we'll see what ulduar drops this week :D

Grabbing my tier shoulders first, no one in my guild wants to spend DKP on trophys so no one is bidding, they are all hording for weapons so I may bid on a trophy soon.

So I hear purples drop in reg (non heroic) instances... do you become saved to these? can you farm them? (these "trophies"?)
I was under the impression t9 wasn't attainble through badges...
there are "levels" of t9 (like 7 and 8) i thought there was only 1 type of t9 this time and was like "thank god"....
Blizz has just destroyed the main combo that has defined the spec since the beginning of the game. PoM+AP was the entire reason I chose to become a mage.

Trophies ONLY drop from 10 man Heroic (which is really hard and not attainable til you kill Anub in 10 man Normal) and 25 man Normal.
5 Player ToC Normal does not save you and drops Item Level 200 epics.
5 Player ToC Heroic drops champions seals and saves you.
Daily Heroic gives 2 Emblems of Triumph and Item Level 232 Tier 9 is purchasable with just emblems. Would take 15 days of dailies to get a cheap piece.
