US Top Guild Premonition recently released their 3.2 PTR Patchwerk DPS testing results.

DPS test 1 -
http://premoguild.com/pwtest/sws-patchwerkdps-1249005260/index.html
http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/jdYp9b7cUACoUc79/sum/damageDone/

DPS test 2 -
http://premoguild.com/pwtest/sws-patchwerkdps-1249005998/index.html
http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/wrVBIR1p1pjWTNde/sum/damageDone/

DPS test 3-
http://premoguild.com/pwtest/sws-patchwerkdps-1249006704/index.html
http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/0hBgUbhkIu7GVQ31/sum/damageDone/

I expected Rogues to be on top for a PW like fight but more along the lines of DPS Test #3. So around 300 DPS ahead of the next pure. However, the first two test results are a bit scary. 1.5k dps ahead of the next non-rogue pure is a bit depressing :(.

Mages and Locks seem to be competing agian, which is good :), but WTH is up with that hunter???

Well, that's it from me. What do you guys think?

Edit: Fixed Links :)

Nessala looks like he or she is playing HAT. The other two rogues playing conventional specs are right in line with everyone else.

I weep - we're so OP....NOT!

I can't look up the Hunter's gear/spec from work, but just judging from the % of damage, that Hunter's rotation looks wonky. You need BiS with ~500 ArP for MM to work from everything I'm reading on EJ.

Hunters:The class that has to spec into all of it's base abilities instead of getting talents that merely improve upon them.

And - You can't do that While Stunned.

It's Premonition, so most of them will have BiS. That hunter has the Algalon 25 Bow/Staff/Trinket.

5th and 7th isn't that bad, hardly 'totally borked.'

You mean 19th and 17th? or am I looking at the wrong logs? Krydel is the Hunter.

There are three different parses. The first one, he didn't really do anything. The second and third fights he ended up 5th and 7th.

At least that's what I'm seeing. I'm looking at the ones hosted at premoguild.com.

Hunters as expected not looking to hot for either PVE or PVP. Guess its time to finally give up the ghost, that hunters will get any kind of DPS increases from blizzard or rationalization of rogue DPS . Its time to back either to my lock. 3.2 will make it easier to gear him up.

Keeping in mind just how valuable they have made rogues for hard modes with DPS that is 1.7k more than pures such as hunters, one can generally expect the melee friendly design to continue into the future. They are doing this to get people to reroll and waste more time. Typical approach of overbuffing their favorite class. Best AOE- Best single target by far and of course their never ending viability in PVP.

odd, kyridel certainly has the gear but he's using a really odd spec. with his gear 7/57/7 and stacking ArP to 560 is the highest DPS. maybe he's just trying stuff out idk.

hardly borked. Hunters are fine and just need to L2p from what you are saying. Rogues are skilled elite players, who rolled the right class at the character screen for pure DPS. Typical of blizzard ... turning a blind eye to rogue DPS being over the top.
do you know what the differance in a good rogue and a bad one is?/?

about 5 DPS a kitter tryin to catch a bug on a keyboard can top meters with a rogue....

If people want to believe something they do not need numbers, but if they do not want to believe it you got to smack them in the crotch with the math bat

I'm more suprised at Warrior outperforming DKs. But both of the DK are DW frost, hopefully they'll test blood DK too.

Then the WoR ones, must have missed a bunch of damage - can't get to the other site from work.

5th isn't "bad", but will it be a steady 5th if you keep your rotation going 100% correctly, and then 12th if you miss a shot?

As i said hunters are not blizzard agenda of fixes or being made viable. The ammo change is coming soon, as GC has been saying since 3.08 when they nerfed BM. "We i.e. hunters should not be scared of change"

Translation.

We will make sure u are nowhere in arena and will also assure sure rogues are 1.5k DPS above hunters as they are immune to the same yardstick we applied to your class. The yardstick in this case being.. you are not supposed to have the best AOE and single target. Rogues are exempt from this, as they are skilled optimized players from the character creation screen and deserve the best aoe/single target.

We will give you some vague ammo changes, so you can keep playing your class and force yourself to enjoy it.

Hunters are on the lower end of pures, but they aren't broken. They could use a slight boost though, but nothing crazy.

No, not so. Devium is DW frost, yes. However, the second DK (SsjAdvent) is Unholy. In one of the parses he is simply using an Obliterate rotation over an SS one (and, coincidentally, Obliterate outpreforms SS for him, but there is a whole thread on this forums explaining why that's the case and why it's a huge problem. These parses are just further proof).

Eh, ignore the HAT rogue crap and you aren't 2k behind.

I see 7765 vs 6776, 8053 vs 6785, 8127 vs 6742.

Hardly 2k behind.

Funny (sad) thing is, I have an 80 DK, 80 Pally and an 80 Shammy - but our raids are already full on those classes (and Rogues too). So I get to "go to" raids, because I'm one of our TWO regular raiding Hunters, or sit out more if I move to one of my other 80's (and then still have to gear them up - only my DK is close with "mostly" Naxx gear).

Barring any before-school-starts vacations of raiders, we should be dropping Vexx this next raid lockout, and I'm tops for the polearm. Is that the only good news I get?
