This is a request for one of two things to happen.

1) The albino drake to be removed from the 50 mount achievement following the release of patch 3.2 (or at some point shortly after that).
2) The proto drakes to be placed into the raider achievements for both naxx and ulduar level raids.

My understanding is the proto drakes are being removed due to patch changes making the raids easier. Likewise the patch change will be making 50 mounts much easier to get. So all I'm asking for is a bit of fairness across the achievements rewards.

Raid drakes are being removed to keep 310% mounts rare. That is all.

As such, all other achievement reward drakes (except the purple one...we'll see how that plays out) are exempt.

The Red Proto Drake would have been a better example for your post. But either way, none of those are 310% liek Avaelan said. The one 310% mount they may keep in the game after Icecrown is released would be Mimiron's Head. Because it requires Yogg with 0 keepers, which is the hardest encounter in all of wow's history due to the epic amount of coordination required, and only one will get the head. So it will remain rare even without being removed

That's fine. The albino drake is ugly anyways.

Apples and oranges:

50 mounts are already very easy to get, it just requires money and a tiny bit of faction work, TOTALLY SOLO. Even I did this, and am very casual. I did it while not even getting Exodar to exalted, I only needed stormwind/ironforge/gnomeregan. I had no rare mounts, mounts no longer in the game, TCG mounts, nor an exhausting faction raise like the wintersaber. All I did was raise skyguard eons ago, in Bc, and those lost one dudes in nagrand (oh, and cenarion faction for that old hippogryph.)

Raids are much more difficult. I can't raid at all, for example.

Exactly. Them both being achievement drakes means nothing- it's not about keeping drakes at a certain level of rarity, I mean, #!!*, you can straight up buy some of them, drake mounts have never been remotely rare since LK hit, it's all about keeping the 310 mounts rare.

Its not pretty much their game. Its 100% thier game. We essentially just rent space in it from them.

The problem with this is that the albino drake and the raiding meta achievement drakes serve difference purposes. One is to reward people raiding at the top tier of the game and the other is for those who like to collect mounts and we totally understand this getting easier as time goes on which is why we added multiple levels to it. Anything can change but this is the current setup.

What about putting 280 speed proto-drakes on the raiding metas when the 310s are removed? The achievements still have value even if the value is depreciated by the new raiding tier. The red proto-drake still exists for people doing the heroic 5 man achievements even though they are much easier with all the gear upgrades.

When the other perspective is based on a flawed premise I'd say that there's nothing wrong with that.

Seriously, though, the horse died in march. Let it go.

Hopefully none of the future metas will be as easy to get 95% of as the T7 glory ones were so we won't get the level of casual QQ that we got then.

So if they removed the Albino Drake in 3.2, what, would it just not be obtainable anymore? People would only be able to get the 100 mount Dragonhawk?

That doesn't even make sense. In any way.

I have an Albino Drake and something like 70-80 mounts. Eventually I'll get the 100. It was *dead* easy. The only thing involved is gold and rep. It isn't something that gets "easier" or "harder" it just takes more or less gold/rep.

The only "hard" part is the luck of getting a few rare-drop mounts which, really, isn't hard. Just lucky.

Fair?! Fair?!? I have nearly two 80's with more on the way and I can only afford to have one of them have Epic Flying - Even after the Patch! And now they are taking the Proto-drakes out of the game?! That means I'll never get one! And, don't start with the Egg...I've been buying the get since I hit revered with the Oracles two months ago and I still haven't received a green Proto-drake! Meanwhile, I know people who have gotten it on the first or second egg! How fair is that?!

It's not. Because life isn't fair. Please, cry less.

Seems fine to want some items to be rare while others are not. I get health potions all the time from just grinding but somehow haven't had a 239 weapon drop yet.

I dont understand why blizz dosen't just attach a item level to the achivement. The tech is obviously there.

Doing this would allow people to go back and do the content to get the mount but the skill required would still be identical to what it was when it came out originally as you couldn't use later dungeon gears to outgear the instance.
