0. Blizzard's new quest/objective tracker.... 07/28/2009 05:14:42 PM PDT
Hey guys,
The other day, I made a new character on my friends PvP realm, and after moving all my UI components around the way I normally have them, I noticed I was missing the 'new' blizzard quest / achievement tracker. I logged into my normal server, looked at my UI, found the tracker, logged out and looked at what addons I had enabled/disabled, double checked that against the disabled addons on the PvP server, logged back in on the pvp server and still nothing.
My first thought was a conflict of addons or something in the UI, but that cannot be the case as I still have the tracker on my PvE realm. The addons listed for my main server and pvp server are exactly the same, and the addons disabled (certain features of x-perl for example I have disabled) are exactly the same.
I'm at a loss for how I could have lost the tracker. I logged in my girlfriends account, and on the same pvp server was able to see her tracker but still not mine. Any thoughts or fixes would be greatly appreciated.
The following link is a link to my blog on WoW.Curse.com with the list of addons I use.

Did you use an addon to move your minimap to the lower portion of your screen, by chance? The quest tracker is attached to the bottom of the minimap by default.

Oh.. that I did not know.. I do use simpleMinimap and I usually have it in the top right of the screen, but just recently picked up SunnViewPort and moved it down to bottom right... I just disabled all of my addons again, and then unchecked everything in Interface > Objectives and then checked them all again and it showed up when I tracked an exploration achievement... moved it to the center of my screen and then re-enabled all of my addons and it was there.
Didn't think to move my minimap back up to the top side, thank you!!! I hate not being able to track exploration achievements lol

Glad you got it figured out.
Edit: If you want your minimap at the bottom, just use the SimileMinimap "Movers" option to put the quest/achievement tracker where you want it, then move your minimap back down. :)

Do you know if it's possible to move the pvp objective progress from under the minimap, say to the top of it? Meaning, when you're capping a flag at Halaa or one of the other objectives like that (Zang, Hellfire etc) you have that progress that shows you how much more until you cap the flag... possible to move that slider to the top of the map?
[edit]
I've got it moved... the MoveAnything! addon lets you move it... for anyone else looking for help on moving the Flag capture timer for world PvP, get this addon and type /move then scroll down to "Battlegrounds & PvP" section, its the last on in there... check the box for "Move" and you can move it where you want ^.^ Uncheck "Move" once you have it in place and then close down the options window for MoveAnything! and continue on.

The Movers in SimpleMinimap will move the Capture Timer, Quest Timer, Quest Tracker, Durability Display (suit of armor thing) and I think the Vehicle seat display.
But, as you found, MoveAnything will move all of that and much more. Whatever works!
