Now that players have had a chance to digest a good deal of the information we've released about patch 3.2.0, Call of the Crusade, we're asking for any follow-up questions you may have about the major PvE and PvP features coming. Whether you have been following every bit of text that's been released about the Crusaders' Coliseum and Isle of Conquest, have been on the test realms every day testing whatever bits of new content you can, or have just taken a cursory look at our announcements, we'd love to hear from you.

We'll be compiling a small list of questions from players around the world regarding the Crusaders' Coliseum and Isle of Conquest, taking them to leading members of our development staff and returning to you with the best answers we can provide.

So who wants to get this thing started?

After two expansions with Flying mounts, the addition of anti aircraft turrets to the fortresses and adding the ability to use our flying mounts would be much preferable to the current vehicle combat (to me in any case).

I'd really like to see some kind of reputation added to the isle of conquest with some rewards for us to work towards (i'm thinking rep gain ala alterac valley and "not" like WSG.

The rewards I'm seeing coming out of the normal mode Coliseum 5-man seem to be a little much for something you can clear so fast and reset as much as you want. Will normal mode have a lockout timer just like heroic 5-mans?

Why are you (Blizz) so worried about a IoC match taking too long to finish? I'm pretty sure you can see that most of the community members like long BATTLE GROUNDS that makes us feel as if we're truly in a battle instead of a "race to the finish." We don't want battles to take hours, but by the looks of it on the PTR a typical battle will take 10-15 minutes. It's hard to really get involved in the battle when there are so many ways to quickly end it.

Question: Did Blizzard intend the 3.2 Coliseum raid to be a 'smaller, filler instance' as a stop-gap between Ulduar and Icecrown? Why didn't you design the Coliseum raid to be more like Ulduar, which oozes epic scope and beauty in quality AND quantity (art, sound, encounter design, lore, story, boss number, hardmode number)?

You don't need to be a developer to realise that a HUGE amount more time went into creating Ulduar. My question is why didn't 3.2 and the Coliseum raid get this treatment?

Was this done so more development time can be focused on big main instances (Ulduar / Icecrown) instead - or - so you can help achieve your goal of getting future expansions out faster and are opting to drop to two big raids per expansion only?

Lets face it Blizzard, players really wanted Azjol-Nerub this patch (Not just one boss under the Coliseum). I'm confident the coliseum will be fun, i'm confident it'll have great encounters, i'm confident it'll be a 'good' instance - but i'm also confident it won't have anything on Ulduar.

Personally i like the sound of the new BG but the new raid is boring to me. Not to metion you stuffed 6 differentinstances/raids into the same little arena sized instance. whats the fun in that. Also i heard that ulduar 25 geard will get through this raid easily. This is not cool yes you should be able to do it in the best possible gear prior to that raid itself but not without difficulty. Plz tell me that Icecrown will be more exicting and dynamic than standing in a big cirlcular room with bosses thrown at you. I would like to know how each boss is started is it on a timer like in Black moras/ violet hold or will you speak to an NPC to begin the encounter. That to me is not fun and as epic as venturinginto a hostile fortress thing than letting people throw captured bosses at you.

There hasn't been any mention of trash for the raid. From what I have seen, it is a glorified version of ring of blood (currently). With trash, it will be like Dark Portal / Violet Hold. When I see the tanking tier bonus I am leaning more towards the Thorim arena... Are we going to see perpetual spawning adds that have to be picked up on the fly for trash? Is there a way to pause before a boss spawns? Will you be stuck with no afks for the entire raid? (Yes, those are all the same question).

Along with the change of Emblems of Conquest dropping in heroic dungeons, it also seems that normal mode Trial of the Crusader drops them as well.

Why was this done for a normal mode instance?

Will there be a lock out for the Trial of the Crusader normal mode?

As for Isle of Conquest I have yet to test it. Thanks for taking the time to answer the customers' questions.

Where did the idea for lack of trash come from? Has it been from player feedback since Wrath began or is it been planned for a while as an experiment Blizz would like to try?

On a related note, what has become the philosophy on the amount of time that a raid should take? I know that it varies wildly depending on how good the group going in is and if the raid is a single boss or a larger dungeon. Is having no trash a look at seeing dungeons take shorter time overall in the future?

How do you plan on answering the plot questions left from Ulduar if the next two instances are to be Arthas related?

Is there any response from Algalon's transmission?
Since the Old Gods have a symbiotic relationship with the planet, what does the death of Yogg-Saron mean for Azeroth's well being?



Also, how long will Horde players have to wait until we can kill Garrosh, since Thrall won't?

They don't include trash on PTR testing at all / or until the finish. This expedites boss testing. I haven't yet found a post stating what the trash will consist of or if there is any.
