A very well answered Q&A, covered most of our concerns with 2 pages of BS, to summarize what GC just said,

  • We know most DPS warrior is doing bad. Yet we're balancing the class as if everyone got the BiS pieces

  • We know rage mechanic sucks since TBC, yet we couldn't figure a way to fix it yet.

  • We know stance sucks and DK presence is just a better, improved version of stance. Yet we're keeping the stance, especially the ability restriction, just to make you feel like a warrior.

  • We know it's hard to balance a class that use 2 2-hander, yet we aren't gonna give it up and would rather stick a 10% penalty to you damage.




  • Next expansion I'm gonna reroll DK, or give up WoW. The only reason I haven't done it now is I got geared and I don't wanna hamper my raid friends.

    This is one of the sadest moment in my Wow experience.

    Please please PLEASE include this question to them:

    DK dmg as good as we're (if not better), AE better than we do, tank as well as we do (if not better). Got a better stance system, can self heal, wear plates. WHY would a warrior NOT reroll a DK on next expansion?

    How do you plan to fix the gear-dependancy of warriors to become equal to other classes? Also, HOW do you plan to lower warrior's downtime? How come warriors have so few passives in our talent trees unlike Death Knights and when will you clear up the useless ones to make new passives/skills? What do you plan to do with rage and if you can't figure it out (it's really hard I know) right now, WHEN do you think you will be able to fix it? How do you plan to fix the issue with maintaining threat with Protection? More damage? More threat added to skills? New skills with more AoE threat? We are not ahead of Paladins in terms of tanking. We are the farthest behind if you haven't noticed. This is a real issue that needs to be addressed and not responded to with a generalized answer.

    Warrior KNEW these, the problem is you're balancing the class with BiS in mind, ignoring the fact that loot drop is a RNG.

    This does indeed solve a few problems but poses a few more. It is painful to generate rage in the beginning of a battle because we start at 0. This process is very slow and may not occur at all if the fight is too short. Is there anything that will speed this up besides charge (all talents and skill upgrades included) and bloodrage (as it does hurt to use bloodrage)?

    Note that I'm only asking a few questions. This will not be a complete restructuring of this Q&A. However, this will not be the "one and only" Q&A we are doing. We fully intend to make the Q&A's a fairly regular occurrence. So, if you weren't satisfied with this particular session, don't fret, we're going to do more.

    So this wasn't the real Q&A thread but just a precursor to see if warriors would tolerate some crappy answers?

    I can't wait to see what jumps of the drawing board next round:
