They do offer heirloom items for Exalted Sons of Hodir... it's called "Doing the dailies on your epic-flying 80 and sending all the Relics of Ulduar to your alt" :) Or just buying the stacks off the AH!

At least, that's what I've done when I'm in the mood to knock out some dailies, or farm mats in Storm Peaks. My Death Knight will have a few stacks of Relics ready to go when he gets up there, and I'm used to scoping out Everfrost Chips.

Once you're mounted on a flying mount there is no getting you off it unless you're a druid with typhoon or another knockback effect (Unless they fixed that while i was away).

As it stands now, there are only two forms of world pvp in northrend. None, and ganking. People fly from quest ground to quest ground, so the only time to attack them is when they're already engaged in combat. I personally hate doing that. If i want to pvp, i want it to be a fair fight. One on one, no mob interference. Bliz is making this harder and harder. Makes me wonder what a pvp server is even for anymore. Arena and BG's take up most of the pvp, and with flying mounts and summon stones for the instances there is barely anyone to engage anymore.

Hey guess what. I play on a PvP server and I don't just attack any horde player I see instantly. I'll even help them with quest sometimes.

So take THAT.

At level 80 players can buy this heirloom item from the Cold Weather Flying Trainer in Dalaran for 1,000 gold and send it to an alt of the same realm, faction and account. The tome can be used to learn Cold Weather Flying at level 68, consuming the tome in the process.

Please note this feature is not yet in the newest version of the public test realm patch notes updated today. The item and its functionality are subject to change during the testing process.

oh i see. so trainers still teach cold weather flying at 78? but if your 80 you can buy the BoA tome and send it to an alt.

is the price just going to be gold? or will there be badges/shards used to buy it as well?
and lastly does the item say required level 80 to purchas, or will we be able to buy it on lvl 68 characters to bypass the trainer?

im a little confused, so i can get on my lvl80 character and send the book to my low lvl alt and learn it at 68, use flying mounts in northrend at lvl68..?

You just have to buy the tome. The cost for the player is the same. It just means if you have an alt and can afford it, you can get yourself flying in Northrend by level 68.

My level 80 has a connection at the Northrend DMV, he's passing out tomes for level 68 alts. Keep it on the down low.

I misread that as 78 the first time and I was like"WTF, how is this an improvement?" 0.0

Im leveling my rogue, yes its GNOME ZOMG!! xD

My problem here is that my rogue is on this account and not the account with my 2 80 alliance toons. As this way I can multibox when I need help or run an instance without ever having to look for anyone.
But now I cant get this tomb without first praying that this faction change happens before I hit Northrend, which wont take long at all. Move this toon to alliance buy the tomb send it to my rogue then move this toon back to horde since I want to keep him on horde side.

Any way possible at all you guys up there in your secret offices at Blizz HQ could take into account the thought of allowing us to actually have BoA and send the item to any toon on the account?

Just thought I'd ask, never know unless you ask. Please bring this up at a meeting for me xD.

Stuff like this makes me regret having 2 accounts. 1 for my alt and 1 for my main. Sure I have 1 log in due to Battle.net Accounts but my WoW accounts seem to still be separate.

Part of my job is tech support and let me tell you, copy and paste is my best friend. Also, a great way to stay sane is by printing out the really, really ridiculous questions and showing them to everyone I know. Most recent favorite was the woman who INSISTED that only word documents could be saved in the "My Documents" folder so she couldn't figure out where to save an excel file.

Gewd, now I might be tempted to level my three alts that are sitting at 70.Still doesn't change the fact I hate about every zone in Northrend.

I remember getting cold weather flying and all a sudden...leveling was less fun. There was a reason you couldn't fly initially. You could always say 'then don't use it', but the carrots dangling in front of you so you're going to take it.

I think, asides from changing the level curve each time they add 10 more levels with a expansion, instead of trying to make leveling easier more effort should be put into making your alts actually useful when they hit 80.

The difference is the trainer won't train your alt until 77. If you want to learn the skill at the earlier level, you'll need to purchase the tome.
