The worgen should not technically belong to any of the pet families and was therefore removed. This means the pet no longer has access to pet talents or abilities. Whether or not similar circumstances with hunter pets in the past have occurred isn't really relevant. Given the nature of the creature that was tamed in this case, we feel it should not belong to any of the eligible pet families from which a hunter can choose his or her combat companion.

I think you forgot that this is just a game. Your logic is flawed, that is not why they changed it how they did. I'm waiting to see if they post their reasons. It's a double standard to allow others who tamed a pet that was "not intended" to be tamed, and not everyone. The lolore ppl need to get a life.

Oh well. In the stable mine goes, he's now just for novelty.

Wait, so, it's still usable as a trophy pet, but would be a waste in a raid environment?

That's actually a cool idea, I hadn't thought of it that way. It's basically a friend, not a bodyguard. He's a humanoid, thus smart enough to go "eh, ya got me, I'll be your friend, but don't expect me to be there for you."

I can accept that. But I would almost rather have it taken away fully, but I guess it's nice to have as a novelty.

It has to do with the person I quoted making up excuses for why other pets shouldn't be allowed. And the information comes from both lore supplements outside the game and several quests where research is done on slimes.

I guess it took you guys the time wording this statement that should have went into actually deciding its fate. It sounds like there was no chance that we could keep the worgen as a viable skin and yet you could have just told us that days ago.

The Worgen is an evolved creature from a wolf. He was even programmed with the wolf talents and everything.

Using your logic, please tell me what a "Ooze" is, and how other pets are not relevant?

What about Gorilla's? they are technically humaniod it is just the game does not label them that way. But they are just the same as a worgen it is only the label that is different. Personally I don't care one way or the other I just wanted to make that point.
