i usually have 200-400 on my server depending on time of day and I do pretty well in battlegrounds and world PvP.. Arena may be different though I dunno I can't imagine it being too far off from normal duels when it comes to latency.

I play with 500 latency sometimes (in London UK on a US server) though normally it is in the 300-400 range.........ocassionally less. You may want to consider www.lowerping.com which helps.
It has a pretty massive impact - you are more likely to get sapped/opened on by other rogues first and chasing down can be an issue. You can pretty much forget being able to trinket>vanish trinket>blind a CS before your opponent reacts as well. In short it is a disadvantage you will notice but it isn't unplayable.

Cheapshoting people and then them being 10 yards away is fun.
I have to agree about the getting opened on thing, also its some times hard to get inturrupts off on fast casts like FoL

The thing is I live in Australia, and am on a wireless network so its something I actually have to live with. When I was on a cable network i got mid 400s so 500s is pretty expected on a wired network yeah?

various fixes to latency problems.
Leatrix Latency Fix over on WowInterface.
Increases acknowledgements sent to the server.
I went from 300ms down to about 80. I'm East Coast and our server is West. My west coast guildes went from 100 down to about 30ms. Doesn't work for everyone but has really made a difference for me.
