What "special" addition to you prefer in your mug? I personally use whiskey in my morning cup of joe. Emergency flask with Bacardi in the pocket too in case the boss is in a bad mood.

Teh dead ponies aren't mangled they are just very well aged (and beaten time and time again) and offer too much of a refined taste to consider mixing with anything other than a couple of ice cubes.
