A few answers (And these apply mainly to our Ulduar 25 man progression raids).
1. Do you require a photo ID for proof of being 18 or can we throw that requirement out the window?
No, but if you say in the middle of a raid "I have to go eat dinner, my parents are calling me" or "I have to log at 9 because I have to go to bed" its usually agreed upon your just a kid. Even if that isn't the case, any form of misbehavior will earn you a one way ticket off the raid train.
2. What content is your guild currently working on?
Ulduar 25 man.
3. Will you ninja change raid times shortly after you get new members?
We've changed raid times in the past to best suit the majority, and we will continue to hold that policy based on attendance turnout on said raid days and how they affect progression should it become a problem.
4. What kind of path do you guys have on boss kills in Ulduar?
We kill all bosses we have downed in the past before we move on to progression. This enables maximum gearing (based on what we know we can clear), and more importantly experience and opportunity for existing members.
5. How long do you wait between a boss death and the next pull?
We take 10-15 minute "smoke" breaks in-between the different sections of the raid (That being the seige area, antechamber etc). All other player afk's, bio's, emergencies are done during trash pulls. If your caught afk'ing during a boss pull your kicked and replaced.
6. Do you have a tabard?
Yup. (Although I think it's ugly)
7. Do you use your guild bank as a raid bank?
Certain tabs are used as raid tabs, but having several we need not use them all.
8. Do you have an active set of forums or is it just wasting space on the web?
As Apollia stated in the top post, a new website has been designed and is currently still in the finishing phases. We have switched forums to this site from our old forums. They are active and in the process of becoming lively again. Raid/Class leaders do post strats, class guides, and other raid related material on the forums when they have the time to do so.
9. How do you feel about Holy paladins gemming for SP/spirit/mp5/lolhas
te?
I wasn't aware that was an actual gem, but I imagine it would be pretty sweet if it was. More seriously, I feel personally people should gem for what they need. Just like BiS isn't always the best thing to use, neither is a particular gem.
10. What is an acceptable DPS level for you apps?
Recently I made the change to enforce a minimum dps requirement for light movement related fights or fights that do not enhance your dps through outside forces. This required minimum is 3700 dps and pertains to fights such as Ignis, Iron council (Only on Steelbreaker), Kologarn (though we understand ranged must move and melee are slightly gimped by attacking from the front), Razorscale, and Decon.
Fights like Hodir, Thorim, Auriaya and Freya we understand dps numbers will fluctuate but we monitor them closely and adjust as best we can when we have the bodies to do so.
Keep in mind some weeks we simply do not have the replacements to replace members falling below this minimum. We do however pull aside slacking members and work with them concerning gear, gems, enchants, and most importantly rotations and awareness while in a raid situation to help them as best we can.
