Ban me if you want, I don't care. The idea of EVERY CLOTH CLASS looking exactly the same is the worst gear design since Sunwell.

Just admit it, Blizz, your teams are focusing on other things right now, you can't focus on WoW's art. The "faction" crap is just an excuse to reuse textures.

I know this might be a lot to ask the people that read these forums...But did you try to look at it from a somewhat realistic point of view?


The armor is from the Coliseum, etc. meaning the Argent Crusade is the group that's putting these sets together. They probably have a group that's worked on the Alliance sets and a group that worked on the Horde sets.

Do you think that they would break their backs to make super awesome glowing armor in the middle of a war with the Lich King? It seems more realistic that the design process went something like this:

"Okay team, here's the design for the plate set. Let's just make it the same for everyone and use different dyes and patches to differentiate for the wearer's role."


Honestly, I don't mind the look of the armor. It's better looking than the early PvP gear and a lot better than some of the stuff that came out of AQ.

If it helps..Think of tier 9 as a mix between tier gear and the next generation of faction specific pvp gear when it comes to looks.

I don't think it's the fact that it doesn't look good. Its the fact that it all looks the same.

Everyone wants to have the feeling of being unique. Death-Knights, Warrior and Pally (I think) will look exactly the same with slightly different colors.

The Alliance plate model looks quite nice for the moment. We haven't seen the Horde version yet.

Well everyone already looks the same. Its really not that big of a change.

But that said, last i checked... all the T9 presently in the ptr is placeholder stuff. Although its been a while since i checked.

Recoloration is not much of a "difference" wouldn't you say? Sure there are minor details on the chestpieces like on the Paladin and the DK, but most players won't see them anyway.

Bring back whoever did the T2 art design, and give them whatever they want so they can keep designing nice armor.
