In its current state, you hardly lost DPS time in PVP because all you had to do was wait for your damage abilities to be on CD's and, while maintaining DPS position, get heals. Too good, IMO.. very little sacrifice.

if this is a proper change and it might not be cuz of datamining, then its just screwed over pve dps, the amount of dps you would lose from casting it and reseting the swing timer will offset any buff of pve dps, GC said is should go up so i doubt its an intended change... specially seeing as the talant has 2 points for a 0.75/1.5sec in live.

Um.. it's a two point talent son. it reduces casting by .75/1.5 secs. It's still instant and still costs two talent points. Why are you complaining again?

Bad data source is bad. They changed how Art of War procs, not what the proc does. The person updating that page simply had no idea what had actually changed.

The datamining is correct, the person who posted the update simply had no idea what the ability originally did, or bothered to verify. He simply had a change shown, and assumed it was in the numbers.

GC I'm curious why this change was made. if i remember correctly you wanted a situation where we would be chosing between damage or healing right? i see exorcism as a perfect place to fill that role.

lets divulge into the ret pve rotation for a moment shall we. art of war has no effect on exorcism so we just hit exorcism on cooldown every 15 seconds and flash of light when we get the art of war proc (if we even need it) . is there a lot of thinking required? no, not really.

now let me explain how this decision process is going to happen come 3.2 with the art of war change.
we get the art of war proc, yay! /cast exorcism. damage happens. now we're super lucky and get another proc from a crit 3 seconds later. what ever shall we do with this wonderful proc? i'll tell ya. we're going to wait another 12 seconds for exorcism to cooldown, or we're going to flash of light ourselves if needed. hmm. sounds like there isnt much thinking required in this situation either.

this was your solution to ret's depth? going from waiting on a cooldown to.....waiting on a cooldown?

would it be so hard to remove the cooldown and scale the damage appropriately so that we have an actual choice to make? because as it stands you havent changed a single thing and can expect the exact same results that you got when you let 3.1 loose on the live realms, no skill-based rotation, no depth, and just loads of QQ till you have to go back and "redesign" the damage system again.

i hope you and your guys can take another look at this "depth" you said you wanted, because its certainly not happening in 3.2 if this is all you can come up with.
