It isn't a majority of players that want this, it's not even close to a majority. As it stands now it's well over 2-1 against it.

Count the replies (no duplicates) for yourself if you doubt it.

Here's the difference chief, when it's time for me to go I won't be posting on the forums as a drama queen. When I'm done with WoW, I'll cancel and move on.

It's a positive change for the game...period. You quitting over this is ridiculous, but to each his own. As I stated, YOU WILL NOT EVEN KNOW IF SOMEONE HAS MADE THIS CHANGE UNLESS THEY TELL YOU! So, to quit over something that's not going to even effect you is pretty silly, don't you think?

Yeah, I only just confirmed this now; I do admit that for a while I thought they were just one of the many really stupid people who inhabit these forums. ^_^

A.. Yes, but you will only be able to switch to a race that has your class type available to it. So if you play a human paladin, you’d only be able to change to a blood elf paladin.

Blizzard, I am simply gobsmacked by today's update.

Race changes have been requested as much, or more than, faction changes. You are going to have to work out the logistics of changing gear, rep, etc. anyways. Why on earth wouldn't you go ahead and leverage that and offer race changes within a faction?

As long as you are doing the work for the one, offering the other should be relatively trivial.

Woohoo! Is about all I can say. It's going to be great to have this option.

I agree. I'm not interested in changing factions, but I would love to get a couple race changes for old alts.

You will NOT be able to switch your currant factions race. If you are UD, you cannot become a Troll.
The only race changes are going to be cross faction and they will be limited ONLY to those that support your class-I.E. for myself I will only have Dranai available.
Their will be a cd, my guess is it will be 3 months or longer to start.
I am in favor of this, and will continue to be, as long as they do not do some of the absolute horrible ideas I have seen like Gnome palidan, tauren Warlock, etc
This is far from a game wrecking change. That honor goes to the disaster which is the planned Emblam change.
