0. Glory of the Ulduar Raider Reward Changes 06/22/2009 09:06:23 AM PDT
The rusted and ironbound proto-drake rewards for the normal and heroic Glory of the Ulduar Raider meta achievements will be removed at a future date. We currently do not have an exact date they will be taken out, but it is possible they will be removed when patch 3.2 comes out or at some point after that. When we do decide to remove these mounts we will provide about 1 month of warning so players will have time to make some final attempts.
These mounts are designed similar to the Arena Gladiator mounts as rewards for the top tier of raiders and we will remove the rewards once we have introduced enough new and more powerful equipment to make the completion of these achievements easier than originally intended. Since these rewards are designed for such high-end game play, we currently plan to continue removing any similar rewards we make available in the future.

Could you please put something in the place of the removed rewards for those of us who are not fortunate enough to be in a guild that clears things fast or on a server with a lot of guilds of that nature. Some of us like to do achievements and having some sort of reward helps get others motivated to do them. Having the rewards keep getting removed with zero replacement makes it very hard on players such as myself who want to do the achievements but don't want to change guilds / servers.

You know they're not going to, and it is fine.
This is the arena season for pve. The best get their mounts and the others won't.
As long as they're giving you adequate notice I think they're doing it right.

I implore you to consider extending the time to get these heroic glory mounts. Even if it's just a month. 3.1 feels much much shorter than other content tiers. Our guild was not expecting the patch so quickly.
For the record, we have teh 10 man mounts, but not the 25 man.

I am surprised that anyone cares. Most of all the top end raiders already have a fast mount. For them it is just one more fast mount of which they already have. For more casual players it was a mount they never intended to see. These people already have 50+ mounts of slower speeds and they are promised more of the same through the argent tournament.
Mounts as a form of reward is getting old.

Because Ulduar is harder than naxx, what it should be. The 310% mount should be harder (trying to get it on my war) and it is a pain in the butt. I´m enjoying it though but I´m worried 3.2 will hit too soon when players still haven´t been able to maximize their experience there.
