Q u o t e:
The WG dailies are weekly quests now, and considering how much people exaggerate I'm willing to bet the wait was more like 7 days and they weren't aware of the change.

As far as I'm aware, they're 'special' dailies, no 'seven day quest' or 'weekly' quest type exists. The people I heard the bug reports from - claiming those quests are seriously bugged to hell and back - are far more often than not correct about such matters, I have little reason to doubt them. This would also tally with the fact that the quest mechanic on these changed at the last moment (ie, not on PTR) and was subsequently bugged due to poor coding/Q&A etc - a frequent issue with WoW and such ninja changes ;)

edit: Yeah, was just finishing my coffee Syndri, before going to take a look see ingame ;)

Q u o t e:
Are there simply no quests available to you at this time? Or does it seem as though only select quests are missing? If the latter, can you list the names of those which you are unable to pick up this year?

Thanks for any information you are able to provide; I deeply appreciate it. :)

It would appear that I can ONLY honour/desecrate the fires that are not already listed as part of my achievements - i.e. the only ones I can do now are the ones I missed last year.

I cannot get the actual quest chain for the fire festival - you know, the one that sends you to the beach at ashenvale?

I also can't get the origional torch tossing/torch juggling quests, only the daily versions.

A friend of mine (as I interpret from what he said) stole the exodar flame but was unable to get the quest from it, as it was "already completed". He was able to get the crown when he handed in the other flames.

I'll clarify that last point for you when I get ahold of him again.

I am also one of the accounts effected. I had ONE fire I didnt hit last year, Dun Morogh, I went there just now and could get the quest and get the 5 blossom. That is the ONLY place I can get a quest and blossoms from. Blizz, these in-game holidays are stressful enough and for me personally the opposite of fun but I have been grinding them out and was on track for a purple proto. Please help as soon as possible. No way to hit the 400 blossom mark with this bug in place.

Hey, anything to help. Especially for a GM with pretty wings.

Update about my friend's exodar fire: He says it says "You have already completed that quest." when he clicks it.

EDIT: So, I just realised that there are fires in northrend. There are not, as far as I can see, any questgivers or fire festival related NPCs in dalaran, although there are decorations. There is also no achievement that I can see for northrend fires.

If there's anything else you'd like me to do, let me know. I'm happy to help.

While I have your attention, here are two completely unrelated issues that I've been wanting fixed for some time, and were still in effect the last time I visited these instances:

BWL, Razorgore fight:

After Razorgore dies, the adds are meant to stop spawning. They don't. They just keep on spawning until everyone dies or leaves the instance. In this day and age where most BWL raids have to summon 4/5 of the raiders in because they're not attuned, this sucks muchly.

How to reproduce: Fight the Razorgore fight, kill him, see if adds keep spawning. Maybe do it a few times, some people say that sometimes they don't do that every time. They have every time I've been there.

AQ40 C'Thun fight:

The Digestive Acid debuff in C'Thun's stomach appears to stack with the player's spell power. Spell DPS (mages, ele shamans, whatever) and healers end up being killed unless they get out of C'Thun's stomach as quickly as possible, whereas warriors, rogues, enh shamans etc. can stay in there indefinitely. Also, the Dark Glare appears to hit people standing directly behind C'Thun when he casts it.

How to reproduce: Have some people stand directly behind C'Thun when he casts Dark Glare.
Get a few people eaten by C'Thun. Compare the damage done to someone with a lot of spell power to someone with none.

Ok I can see that the information is not being clear enough.

1. All of the events completed last year can not be completed this year at all.

2. This means that there is no way other then Dailies to obtain the Blossoms.

3. Players like the infamous Zoltan on the EU server will be UNABLE to desecrate or honour any fires in the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimndor and Outlands. And unable to get any Blossoms associated with this - he may find this troubling.

4. Lord Ahune does not appear to be accessible Numa Cloudsister is not in the instance.

5. There are no Achievements associated with the Northrend Flames.

So to sum up for you If you had desecrated or honoured the fires in eastern kingdoms the previous year and the achievement shows as already completed for you - you will be unable to re-do any fires you have already done.

I have a feeling that this matter will not be dealt with until it becomes an issue for the American player base and which will require a wipe and reset of all servers achievements thus nulifying any on oceanic that have completed it. Sorry if I sound pessimistic.

I am the killer of threads. My post is often the last in a thread before it dies, if I have posted in your thread and killed it I am sorry.

What Ihearvoices said. (I am on Oceanic server too). When the Americans get this these forums are going to be filled with QQ.

we don't know if the US timed servers are having the same issue yet, I suspect when it ticks over our problems may be fixed

i have also posted in other threads - same problem, fires that i have desecrated / honoured in previous years i am unable to interact with.

applies so far to this toon and my warlock on the same account - guessing it is realm wide.

I've never seen them do a server rollback just because a bug kept someone from getting an achievement the first day. The first thing I can think of is because your server is for you guys, and the time there is actually tomorrow, they have the server set to display the correct time for you, but the actual computer clock is set for PST. That might cause some parts of the server code to display the NPCs and start the event, but the code that resets the quests is coded to start at 12:00AM of the actual server time, the day of the festival, not the time its configured to display as its "realm time"

Kinda like how the daily quests reset at 4 in the mourning for me, but "should" reset at midnight

Note that I do not in any way work for Blizzard, its just a guess.

Q u o t e:
While waiting for the fix, I'm doing the Northrend fires. They're not always in the Alliance/Horde settlements though, a couple so far have been in the neutral places. Here's what I've got:

K3, Storm Peaks: Both an Alliance and Horde fire
River's Heart, Sholazar: Both an Alliance and Horde fire
Fizzcrank Airstrip, Borean Tundra: Alliance
Bor'gorok Outpost, Borean Tundra: Horde
Agmar's Hammer, Dragonblight: Horde
Amberpine Lodge, Grizzly Hills: Alliance
Conquest Hold, Grizzly Hills: Horde

Feel free to add to this list.

Camp Winterhoof - Howling Fjord - Horde
Fort Wildervar - Howling Fjord - Alliance
Winterguarde Keep - Dragonblight - Alliance
The Argent Stand - ZulDrak - Both Alliance and Horde

You are incorrect sir, there are very clear patch notes and blue posts for this - the Wintergrasp quests are now "Weekly" quests.

I am having the same issue, my main has done most of the 'honor' quests and now can only do the ones that he has not completed. He did not complete the frost lord quest so this has reset.

This toon did none of the quests and is able to honor all the flames.

As blossoms are the order of the day in relation to obtaining the clothing etc, it will be hard to get the achievement on my main unless he can honor the flames and desecrate the flames again.

I also have the same problem here, all extinguished/honored flames last year can't be revisited. Also I can't do the quest chain leading to the summon Ahune part.

Hope you guys can solve this before the festival is over though =) really need the achievement hehe
