I understand that Rogues are a class of deep mediation and through this exuberant amounts of time figuring out what life is about they might come to find the secret about using one handed axes but seriously what is the point of this change?

Not only did rogues have a huge arsenal of weapons to use, from stealing fist weapons from Shamans to taking tank weapons because lolololol it has hit but nooooo that was not enough, there had to be 23525627624 daggers in the game from every hard mode boss and end game boss just in case that one rogue in the raid didn't have any weapon to use for his third 'pure" DPS off spec.

There is not a single Arms DPS Axe in Heroic Ulduar, yet Arms can use it, Fury can use it, DK's can use it, Ret pallies can use it.

There are 2 ilevel 239 daggers in the game and 4 ilevel 232 daggers in the game. There is 1 ilevel 232 Axe in the game that is itemized for a DK tank pretty much. One class uses daggers, maybe 2 with enhc shamans in their offhands and 3 use 2 handed Axes with different specs in each meaning that in a raid the blood DK wants one, the Frost DK wants one, the Unholy DK wants one, the Arms warrior wants one, the Fury warrior wants one and the DK tank wants one. When daggers drop now the guild is out some Abyss' because the rogue wants it for an offset. It's really astonishing. But it's ok, we will all just use the same polearm along with ferals and hunters.

I mean at the very least make Shamans able to use swords but just rogues getting axes is just confusing to me, can anyone figure out what the point is?

it was either give rogues axes, or give shamans swords... well, it would have made more sense to do both really... but, you know, shamans generally don't get given all that much..

We have trouble dropping one-handed weapons in raids because there is so little overlap among the classes. Shamans can't use swords. Rogues can't (currently) use axes. DKs can't use fists. That means just about everyone gets maces.

We took an informal vote and everyone here thought shamans with swords went against a lot of the traditions of the class in the lore, and DKs with fists was kind of weird too. Rogues seemed like the class that would pretty much pick up any weapon in a fight -- they use a broken bottle in at least one notorious case.

Hunters can't use maces... and Paladins can't use daggers (or at least they could not last time I played one)...

You could have fixed Enhance and Elemental weapon slot issues by letting shaman use swords. Instead you just fix one (maybe) by increasing the incentive to have axes drop. Are you simply going to remove 1h Swords? Killing off Half a racial (human +3 to sword)?

This still doesnt help Elemental Shaman.

Call for another vote imo.

I can definitely see how DK's using fists would be kinda funny, and I guess I see what you mean from your perspective, but I think the same applies to two handers. Axes is the best choice for more of to drop, well and polearms but then we are bringing two more class/specs into play. I think you guys should put more 2h Axes in the game next time around, if it weren't for Dark edge of Depravity, which half the world's guilds will never even see let alone win, the T2 PVP axe is the Arms warriors best in slot weapon, which an even less percentage of people will ever get.

It's like the line for food stamps vs. the line at an expensive bakery. There is too much competition for certain two handers while so many one handers end up as the third off spec or DE'd just because not many classes use them anymore. I know that Arms warriors can use Polearms and as purely DPS it makes no difference from an Axe, but still I don't like using a polearm because like a DK using fists, it just looks funny :)

Whatever class I can beat is fine, the players are just all noobs.
Whatever class that beats me is OP and needs nerfed.
My class requires the most skill and effort to master.

Well at least you are considering the lore.

And here I was thinking that there wasn't 50 different versions of a dragon. I have always wanted to fight Emberstorm version #23, I didnt enjoy hard mode version #22 that much.

Is there any plans to allow mages and locks to be able to use maces and priests to be able to use swords?

Isn't that the sort of problem that emblems were designed to fix?

Reckoning Issues:
1: Reckoning doesn't work with SoV, the main tanking seal.
2: Reckoning costs too many points for its dps increase, even if it worked with SoV.
3: Reckoning requires you to be hit
