want to acquire more subscribers and keep people paying, then remove the level requirements and make them usable in old azeroth

millions of subscribers would reroll and people who quited long ago would come back and pay again, who cares about the un-textured and imersive parts of azeroth, we all know they are thier anyways

with the amount of patches each year i dont see why you could work on it little by little in each new patch that is released?

Its not that simple, stop requesting it.

Go watch that one vid why they wont do it, you will see how many corners where cut to save on performance and work needed.

Allowing flying mounts in Azeroth, while fun, would really mess with the dynamics of the game. Especially in PvP realms.

I like the concept, but there is alot that needs to be done in order to support that. I think that eventually, they will allow it, just not anytime soon.

Basically the amount of time it would take them to redo azeroth would equal the time it takes them to do an expansion. And really for what?


Flying mounts are an expansion feature. And we get them at level 60+ now (in 3.2), you are already out of azeroth when you get the flying mount.

And removing the level requirement? I m not in favor of that either.


So, to me, as a paying customer too, I prefer that Blizzard not waste development time fixing up old content that I rarely go back to anyways, and work more on new stuff. Having an expansion release 3 or 4 month earlier would be cool.

ATTENTION BLIZZARD
I'm well aware of the technical issue currenly why Azeroth cannot support flying in Azeroth but there is no reason however why you cannot allow flying mounts in Azeroth as land mounts only. This should not be too much of a problem and allows players to show off their hard earned flying mounts in Azeroth grounded. I am also well aware of traffic problems it may cause in cities just dont allow them in cities but then again mammoths are allowed in cities.

I don't want to fly in Azeroth. I want to be able to wall-walk again in Azeroth!

Give us back beta wall-walking! I really kiss chilling in the cliff village overlooking Menethil!

The reason why flying mounts aren't allowed in old azeroth is because many of the areas that you don't see are incomplete stretches of flat terrain, or no terrain at all. i have a friend who plays private servers that says the entire area surrounding the burning steppes is just blank. the amount of time it would take blizzard to redo these areas is simply not worth it.

We're always taking a look at different aspects of the game and trying to find a way to improve upon the experiences that players get to have within it. We have a lot of ideas and things we'd love to do. Or, make old-world flight path's twice as fast, or instant.

Got to do something. Travel in old world is brutal.

I think it's largely a technical barrier. There are only so many hours in the day. Personally, I'd rather see them spend their time and money developing new content.

Eventually players will probably get epic mounts at a very low level just to speed up leveling. That doesn't require over coming a technical problem.
