I really really want to be able to play well as a retribution paladin. The notion of retributive justice is very strong and deserves to be playable and accepted.

We know you can't tell us what those changes are, but we love you for telling us that they are coming.
My only humble request is that you keep Ret pally's threat in mind when doing the changes. Either less generation or a passive/active way to reduce it would be a GREAT addition to the spec.

qft! threat threat threat threat threat
that's pretty much it.
CS got a buff.
SoV needs a rebuff.
SoC works fine, SoB works fine
some better itemization would be cool.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's going to be a hard wait though no matter how short it is because 2.3 has a lot of awesome changes, including quite a few changes for Paladins, specifically Retribution.
The most important question is....will I be able to smash some face? :P

whee my post thing is bugged so I cant see...
Since the live version is 2.2.0, I am guessing next week is 2.2.1, since they didnt put it on the PTRs, it must be a really small patch.
Then, a week or two after (since 2.2.2 is rather small too and has to be up by mid-october) we will get 2.2.2 and then the next week (or maybe 2) 2.3 PTRs will go live. So that means that in about a month we should have the 2.3 PTRs up and know what kinda buffs we are getting.

Q u o t e: Try to stay a little more current on your meme references.
Since 2.2 was on the PTRs for such a long time, we had a lot of extra time to get changes implemented and refined for 2.3 more than we would normally have time for. So, once 2.2.2 is done, we're going to get 2.3 up there post haste, get the testing we need for the changes with special emphasis on Zul'Aman, and then ship it as soon as possible.

Though wary, we do hope this means that the developers are listening to what we need.
I.e. Threat control, more steady damage output, and fewer needed stats.
Crossin' mah fingers.

There is no real shortage of tanks. Only tanks for bad PuGs. So unless Blizzard can hotfix stupidity, there will always be a shortage of tanks because any tank worth a damn won't go near a random PuG.
