I've done some work on developing a new druid gear calculator. It's both a merger of a number of existing calculators as well as a new model approach.

The primary problem I have with existing spreadsheets is the end goal is generally to calculate stat point equivalents. However, any calculated values are only valid for the next stat. These number can change quite a bit adding just a few more points. IMO, it's a much more valid comparison to "try on" each piece and see what the numbers should be. I prefer selecting and changing gear rather than entering raw numbers into a calc.

The spreadsheet core is based on a rogue calculator from the EJ forums. It includes fields to select a DPS cycle model and a tank point model. In addition, the calculator can mix models to determine an off-tank value. A weight can be set to scale between dps or tanking. DPS cycles available range from custom models for mangle only, shred only, or "standard" mangle/shred to 4+ cp. I've also implemented a modified Tangedyn DPS as well as versions of Lolaan's DPS for mangle only, shred only, or standard (using 2.5 shreds/mangle). Any alternative model can be integrated in based on stats/gear/talents.

It's in somewhat of an early beta. Any criticism appreciated.

I can't comment on the theorycrafting used, although I do agree that something like this is more useful than a static list.

From a user perspective, the spreadsheet is fairly easy to use, however something like Rawr for Kitties would be even better... I like pretty pictures >.>

I like it, much easier to manipulate than Lolaan's (Sorry Lo - I'm a Mac user, pretty interface == gud)

Looks like you might be missing an item or two - For example, the Shifting Tanzanite gem (+5 str, +4 agi) from heroic SV, but other than that, awesome!
