Am I not the only person who sees the flaws in Blizzard's logic? Let's punish the players who have remained dedicated to our game since the beginning and lets reward newer players that may or may not even continue playing by giving them cheaper and faster mounts.

I personally have leveled many characters before the recruit-a-friend bonus exp system, the boost in exp from level 10-50, and now these far cheaper mount costs. I've spent far more than my fair share of gold on mounts and I believe I deserve a refund of the gold I had paid previously; I believe we all deserve a refund.

I know you guys are a company, and companies aren't in the business of pleasing people, they're in the business of making money, so I'm sure from a money standpoint this is the most logical way to go, but you're upsetting many of the older and more valued customers by making these unnecessary changes without rewards. It's like any company offering discounts to new customers, most companies offer compensation to their current customers or often the same deal they give the new ones.

They already said they aren't going to refund you.

I'll play this card til the card's ragged: I have 100 mounts, and I'm fine with the change.

I feel your pain. I remember vanilla WoW and 1000g epic mounts at 60. (I got around that issue with the Stormpike mount but alot of other people didnt) This change to epic mounting levels upsets me yes, but game change to compete with each other and we have to accept it.

Just hope WoW doesnt go Star Wars Galaxies NGE on us.

it's amazing that this arguement came up the LAST TIME it was brought down in price and they turned you down and yet, you still think you should bring the arguement up again.

but when you buy something at a store then a couple of months later that item goes on sale the store does not owe you anything. Same concept.

I agree, this is ultimately a good thing but I think Blizzard fails to see that they're punishing the people who have been around for longer by making them spend more gold. I think what's happened is Blizzard has reached as many hardcore players as they can so now they're going for the 5 year old kids with their parent's credit card. Ulduar isn't even as hard as it really should be, this games lost its luster of challenge. Needing to raise 1000g back at 60 in Vanilla was nearly impossible, hence few people had epic mounts, now even fresh 80's have epic fliers... I'm not saying people shouldn't be able to enjoy all the aspects of the game but I'm saying it should be a challenge not a give-away.

You're forgetting something extremely important... Think of all the time you wasted running from place to place while leveling before you had your mount. IMHO Blizzard should send you a check based on those wasted hours and your salary at the time. It's only fair...

They will give you a refund, so long as you consent to a roll back of your character to the point in time you purchased the mount.

As someone who bought all of the standard and epic ground mounts that would be affected by this change I have no problem with at least trying for a refund on those coins. However, framing it as punishment is simply misframing the issue. Nobody has been punished. Punishment would be like wiping all mounts (at no refund) and having to buy all new mounts at the new prices. The situation that I and presumably you are in is simply that we won't benift highly from this change.

So in short I fully support a refend in the diffrence in coins between the old costs and new costs but, calling it punishment is in error.
