Innervate is extremely broken in high rating arena.

A buff with almost complete dispel protection (barkskin) that gives full mana.

With a short enough cooldown so it can be used several times in one match.

Please justify why you feel this is balanced.

Im not going to necessarily disagree or say that it is not OP, but how exactly do you know that it is OP at High End Arena? Do you have experience or ....

i've only ever seen it used twice in a single game onnce (outside of the 2v2 bracket which is a broken bracket that should be removed anyways) but ya, it returns way too much mana anyways.

Several times in one match? It has a 6 min cooldown. How long do your matches last?

I'd argue the problem is the reverse. It is balanced around a 6 min cooldown so in a 3 min match it provides a lot of mana and the fact that it can't be used again for a long time is small consolation when the match is over quickly.

We are reluctant to balance it around being dispelled though. When dispel is the counter for everything, it just makes classes with the ability more necessary and makes those without it even weaker.

I'm 2400+. Don't care whether you believe me, anybody who plays arena knows how broken innervate is. It's a game breaker at high levels. It is amazingly superior to shadowfiend on almost every level.

You know how tough it is to kill a druid healer?

Most classes have a fear ward, give Locks a stun ward :)

/Agree

It would be nice if innervate could, in someway, be changed so that all classes have some way of combating it (obviously not to the degree of Mana Tide though, /shrill) but maybe in a similar manner to Shadow Fiend.

Me: omg, druid's low on mana *looks at my shamans mana*
Me: Game is about to be over, hang in there! he's already used innervate once, faceroll tunnel vision time!

*Giving props to my resto shaman for living that long while being oom for 6 minutes straight at 2600 mmr*

*barkskin, innervate, 12 seconds go by*

Me: he's at full mana. Drop your mana tide totem behind the pillar and put down stoneclaw, I'll protect it!
Dk: lol, smack.

13 minutes fighting the #2 team in the battlegroup tonight. Innervate won the game for them. It also won the game for several matches with druids later tonight. In fact, we lose mostly to resto druids.

So, can shadowfiend be invincible and stick to the target? Perhaps other mana regen abilities can be brought up to innervate's level as well?

It needs to be dispellable. A good druid will play LOS behind a column. A shadowfiend can be CC'ed, killed, get stuck on platforms/columns, anything under the sun. The difference in effectiveness is mind-boggling.

Well at least revert some of the changes to plague strike so they actually have to TRY against anyone but a priest or shammy. When we go against a decent or good resto druid, it becomes a mana game.. at which every class loses terribly to the druid. They literally have like 3-4x the mana pool of any other healer due to their insane lifeblooms that you can't shut down because they're instant, coupled with the cc, and then finally another mana pool in a few seconds flat once you took the 3 hours to run them through their first one.

They don't have to switch forms, or even los to stay alive. They simply stack 3 hots, and its all good.

This is good insight. I'm glad you post gems like this every once in a while, it does a PvPer's heart good. :)

Maybe not dispellable, but it needs to have some sort of counter.

Shadowfiend: Cyclone, fear, kill it
Mana Tide: lol
Divine plea: 50% less healing, dispellable
Innervate: undispellable, gaurunteed 120% mana bar every 6 minutes.
