I really do miss working in a group being challenging and complex. When threat was a constant delicate balance, and cc and kiting were required for success.

I get that Blizzard wanted to make success more available to people who play less rigorously, and a certain amount of that is reasonable. But I'm disappointed that they didn't make this the distinction between normal and heroic instances.

I'd love it if normal instances were much like the current aoespamfests, but heroic mobs did about five times as much damage (thus requiring cc) and built up double threat from damage and healing.

I miss tanking being a challenge instead of a gearfest. Maybe it is in Ulduar but I've yet to go past Flame Leviathan due to my work schedule and probably won't get to see that lovely content.

As someone who plays several tanks (BC and WoTLK), threat as it stands now is great. If the tank is paying attention, the vast majority of DPS will not overtake them in threat. There are exceptions (Kitty Druids, Warlocks) when there is movement and reduced tank threat, but for the most part it's been great.

Frankly, fighting for aggro in BC sucked. It is not a fun game mechanic. I want to be more concerned with positioning, target pickup, and survival among the many things happening during a fight. Threat ceilings are no fun for the tank OR the DPS.

You haven't been around long enough to know what he's talking about. Warlocks were, hands down, the WORST class in the game when it was released. Quit pretending you know what you're talking about.

I guess everyone prefers how it is now, but.. How is it really tanking? If you have such a massive threat gain, it's hardly a challenge. I have all 4 tank classes (Prot paladin, Warrior, Frost/Unholy DK, Feral/Resto druid).. the most fun I had was back in original/WOW since I actually had to tank and not be "DPS guy #4 who gets hit and avoids crits."

God, PLEASE give my lock an aggro dump that actually fixes my aggro, not sets me back 3 incinerates on threat.

Good tanks can barely hold agro on me, if I'm not carefully, I'll pull. I'd love to have an agro wipe for more then 50% and 5 min cooldown. I'd settle for 30% threat reduction instead of my current 10% from talents.

I had a pugged tank complain my DPS was low, I tried to explain I was using omen to stay under his threat. He made the mistake of saying he has no threat problems and I just suck. I don't think his taunt was ever off cooldown the rest of that run.

Geared warlocks can't pug.

They just can't.

I don't miss my old guilds token enhance shaman pulling aggro every fight whilst doing the lowest dps.

A few classes/specs are still aggro magnets though, Arms warrior as an example.
