I just have a few questions aimed primarily at warrior PvP (particularly arena):

1) With the nerfing of Juggernaut to the ground, warrior mobility has dropped dramatically. However, warriors do not have the burst of any other melee required to kill others in a short amount of uptime. I ask if we be given back our mobility or some kind of increased burst (more so on heavy armor) so that we may at least stay even with the other melee? (I know Blizzard abhors arena statistics, but right now warriors are significantly behind DK's, rogues and ret pallies above 2000 rating). Perhaps change juggernaut to have MS ignore 50% of armor after a charge, then it will be better against high armor, but not crippling to clothies.

2) You have continually found the time to nerf Juggernaut, yet Bladestorm is still riddled with bugs. Thus far I have been gogued, desecrated, frost novaed, death coiled, and effected by pretty much slow in the game while bladestorming. Bestial Wrath seems to have none of these bugs and is virtually the same effect. Furthermore, the DK trained ability ,Death Grip, can pretty much negate our 51 point talent, in that they can pull us off their healer and pop CD's every time we use the ability. I would like to please know when Bladestorm is going to be bug free and a 51 point talent worthy of the name?

3) Is Unrelenting Assault designed not to proc against shield or is this a bug? Because not doing so makes the ability virtually useless against priest & paladin teams.

1)This was posted before i believe, but just in case heres the link to prussians changes to MS. This guy really did do a great job and I hope his numbers are looked at. I understand that MS is special because it gives a 50% healing debuff so its damage should be lower but compared to Scourge Strike its just terrible.

2) Shattering throw is awkward. 1.5 second cast time, in battle stance (lulz if youre fury), and with a 25 rage cost its pretty demanding, especially for a 5 minute cooldown. With the high rage costs there are many times we cant do anything about a bubble/iceblock in arena, Second thing is with a 1.5 second cast time its almost always gonna get losed by a paladin not to mention you will probably no longer be anywhere near them since youre standing. My suggestion would be either give it a talent/glyph that would lower the cast time on it or remove the rage cost...either one would be nice.

3) Will a warriors ability to tank looked at? Will block be revised to better suit a warrior? From what I see the only block/block rating warriors ever get is if it's on a tier piece to get the tier bonus. Warriors are hardly ever used for hardmode encounters or really any encounter that really based on survivability, changes to block could potentiallly fix this. A suggestion of mine would be to possibly make block not a static number but maybe percentage based as well. Something along the lines of blocks either 1500 or 20% of incoming damage...whichever is higher.

I'm going to throw this out there. Warriors need more HP, period. Lets look out the fellow plate characters in this game. (Looking at this in a total defensive stance) DK's have multiple abilities to heal themselves, and have more than 1 damage mitigation skill. Paladins can heal, and can be immune to damage. Simple comparison, they have no need to switch a stance or gear in order to take advantage of these abilities. Warriors on the other hand, in order to mitigate damage, must go defensive stance, shield wall, or stay with a shield while burst is being throw on them. This makes the warrior just a target, and is in no way a threat due to holding a shield and 1h weapon. After that, they are easy pickings (sorry enraged regeneration doesn't help when your getting burst).

If Blizzard is to keep warriors at the current state, warriors are going to need more HP (this is not a solution to all problems, just a suggestion to help). Remember the days where warriors were the highest HP pool followed by a well geared lock? It should be that way again. I don't understand why Blizzard even decided to change that. They are called WARRIORS, supposed to be huge rough and tough bad asses that take a beating. Right now they are just a joke that don't do nearly as much damage as any of their fellow plate wearers (did i mention that they are VERY weak against plate wearers as well?), and can be burst easier than a mage! Crap, I remember when 1 on 1, a warrior vs a rogue was a fun fight, because yes the rogue could stun lock you but you were wearing plate, it took a lot of work for them to get you low on life. Now, it seems that our plate armor is just linen cloth to their daggers, they can stun lock you and kill a warrior within 10 seconds.

Give warriors a top tier talent to increase stamina, like warlocks do. That could give the warriors a little buff to a terribly weak class. (or just delete DK's to even everything out :P)

Are there any plans to increase our shout-time? a 2 minute buff that costs 10% of our rage is hardly comparable to any other class buff. Give us 30 minutes with a re-agent if necessary.

Are there any plans to allow us to shout for free when out of combat? I don't see why warriors should have to waste Bloodrage before they can shout to have a Battle Shout up at the start of a fight.

Is there any other class that is forced to waste one ability on a long timer before they can use another ability? I can't think of any.

1. Fury's rotation with the 4 second bloodthirst is a mess - it's difficult to use bloodsurge procs, shouts, or sunder without stepping on the next cooldown. This needs streamlining, perhaps by making bloodsurge procs cause damage instead of adding a buff, or by changing BT to 4.5 seconds and upping the damage slightly while putting WW at 9 seconds and changing the WW glyph back to more damage.

2. There is room for improvement in how the UI handles titan's grip. Right now, if I am using a 2h weapon in the offhand I cannot click a fishing pole or polearm from inventory. Instead, I need to drag the 2h out of my OH before I can equip those items. With a shield or a 1h in the offhand I can click to equip a polearm or fishing pole no problem.

3. Ulduar warrior DPS itemization is a mess. I'd really love it if a design team could take a whole new look at plate DPS items from there.

My biggest concern is that the stamina on every item seems to be eating a larger portion of the item budget than is strictly necessary. Looking at historical ratios between tank and DPS plate gear, DPS was previously given about 80% of the stamina of tank gear. Ulduar has pushed it closer to 88%. I'm really not sure why non-tanks need or would even want such immense HP pools.

A second concern is that there is substantially less crit available overall. Switching from Naxx gear to Ulduar, I've already dropped a substantial portion of my crit, and most of the upgrades I have left will drop it even more. Plenty of core warrior abilities proc off crit for instance flurry and our usual metagem, not to mention hard mode encounters that require it like storm power from Hodir hard mode.

Another concern is that almost all of the 1 socket pieces and every single 2 socket piece of plate DPS gear has at least one blue socket. Good grief, more useless stamina. Do blue sockets in DPS gear take less item build points? I certainly hope so.

Finally, some of the items seem to simply be under budget, or to have DPS stats transposed on top of an initial tank design. Take for instance the Ulduar crafted warrior plate items. Across the board, the crafted items have less stamina on the tank pieces than on the DPS ones. Additionally, some of the names are clearly backwards! Who would expect the Spiked Deathdealers to have tank stats while the Battlelord's Plate Boots were suited for DPS?

1. Why are warriors the only melee class that does not have a magic damage attack?
Rouges=Poison, Shaman=Shocks/InstaLB, DK's=Strikes, Pallies=Every attack.

2. Will warriors be brought into line with the other melee classes in PvP? (Defensive CD's that dont gimp our DPS.)

3. Will warriors mechanics ever stop being a double edge sword? ( Skills only in certain stances, Skills requiring certain weapons, Stances with penalties.)

4. Will warriors ever be able to PvP without a healer stapled to there backsides?

5. Will warriors AoE tanking ever be on par with the other 3 tanking classes?

6. Will warriors PvE and PvP DPS and Tanking cycles ever have a clear rotation? Or will it continue to be "mash the buttons when they come of CD."

7. DK's and pallies have at least 4-6 active strikes with DK haveing an overpower like abilitie (Rune Strike). While warriors only have 1 strike that can be effectivly used every CD (Mortal Strike). Will warrior skills and attacks ever be changed?

8. In The Burning Crusade Blizzard wanted to move away from the RnG style of play that arms warriors had in both PvP and PvE, Yet in Wrath of the Lich King you gave warriors 2 MORE RnG abilities in arms. Why did you decide to contradict yourself?

9. Why are DK's aloud to use any abilitie in any Stance yet warriors cannot?

10. Will warriors group buffs (Battle Shout, Rampage, Commanding Shout) be given an upgrade to be on par with the vastly superior Blessing of Might, Leader Of The Pack, Blood Pack?

11. Is this the direction the class development team saw warriors going?

12. A warriors tanking nich is that he is very mobile. A pallies tanking nich is he can AoE tank adds better then most, A Dk's tanking nich is taking magic damage better, and a druids tanking nich is being a giant HP sponge. When will hard mode encounters start playing twords being more mobile so warriors can be the best choice?

Yes! A chance to ask the questions that I've had for so long!

1) Are there any plans for warriors to have more than one tanking tree?


2) Are there any plans for warriors being able to tank with two-handers?


3) Are there any plans for removing the shield requirement for many defensive cooldowns and abilities?


4) Are there any plans for reworking how Heroic Strike works?


5) Will shields ever be truly useful again? =(


6) Will sword-spec ever be brought up to par with the other weapon specs?


7) Will warriors ever be able to tank with a spear in one hand?


8) Will Warriors as have their "hybrid" status be reexamined?


9) Will we ever get shouts that last longer than a few minutes? Even 10 minute shouts would be nice....


10) Will arms see an increase in their aoe abilities?


11) Will fury see an increase in it's single-target dps?


12) Will warriors see an opportunity to gain rage on parries and dodges?


13) Will warriors, and melee in general, ever see new combat animations? =(


14) Can warriors, and classes in general, get an appearance tab ala LotR: Online?


15) What niche, besides banality, is a warrior supposed to fill as a tank?


16) Will warriors ever be able to defeat other melee classes in one-on-one fights considering all things equal? (who cares about owning caster dps...warriors want to own other melee)


17) When will the devs get over their notion that just because warriors were solid for vanilla and BC that they deserve to be UP in this expansion (LK)


18) Will Titan's Grip ever see it's 10% damage tax removed? I played a mage and I remember how mages suffered all throughout BC...now my warrior has been hit with the same tax and I've been forced to spec Arms to be truly viable (no fury aoe "fluff" is NOT viable).


19) Can warriors be balanced for tanking w/o having to find some stat stick (aka gun/bow/ranged weapon) to balance us w/ other classes?


20) When will warriors be free of the archaic nature of stance dancing? Dancing should feel smooth, natural, benefecial, and graceful....right now it feels like a geriatric dump that will one day cause me to pop a very important vein and I'll wind up dead on the throne (omfg why didn't my sword/shield equip when I jumped into defensive stance to hit shield wall!?)


21) When will warriors be free of having to use ridiculous macros for so many of their abilities...

When we were doing tests with Ulduar-geared tanks, the DK took less damage than the warrior even if neither tank used any cooldowns. The DK health, armor and avoidance were all higher. Given that the DK cooldowns are superior, this seemed like a problem.

So, these blue posts, dates are ones given when posted on mmo-champion.com, lead us to the conclusion that blizzard knows warriors are garbage at everything possible. Yet, instead of fixing us or giving us any idea of any changes coming up, they nerf the one saving grace for us in pvp and politely tell us that DK's are better tanks than us in every aspect. Ive been playing my warrior for over 3 years now, prot, and have never in the existence of my character felt so worthless as I do right now. People say warriors time will come, I say even if it is next week, it will take months for us to catch up. If you wanted to get rid of warriors so badly blizzard, why not just delete the class and give us a lvl 80 of our choice. At least it would end the suffering.

What did you hope to accomplish by lowering the BT CD to 4 seconds? It does little to "clean up" our rotation and I feel more rushed than anything really. It's bad enough that I have 6 second to use a bloodsurge. I'm running out GCDs to use here.

You are all probably aware that we won't be able to address every question posed in this thread. However, we will do our best to make certain that we get as many questions answered, in this round, as is possible.

That said, there are some things you can do to increase the chances your questions will be asked.

1) Keep the question short, sweet and to the point.

2) Try not to ask questions which require a paragraph of set up or back story.

3) Keep the attitude of the question positive, even if it is an issue of great concern to you.

4) Try to make certain that your question is actually a question.

With the loss of stance dancing and fear no longer causing a loss of aggro, if bosses use fear at all, it seems that the will of the forsaken racial talent no longer helps Undead warriors, It seems that the only way to go is with a Tauren warrior, and those of us who went with undead warriors for the extra raid utility of Will of the forsaken, are now only left with a shadow resistance buff which even if and when Shadow resist is needed in Icecrown, will propably be marginalized by hitting the shadow resist caps with the supplied crafted gear. Tauren warriors HP buff is becoming entirely too large of an HP buff. Why should I have to carry around Essence of Gosamer just to keep up with the tauren racial ability, while the taurens in essence get 1. An extra HP buff with essence of gossamer, or 2. an extra trinket spot for avoidance trinkets.

What are the plans for nerfing this HP buff or buffing undead Warriors.

I'm sure other warrior classes on horde side have this same issue, however I don't know they're specific Racial abilities and how they would balance out, so I'm placing in the context of Undead Vs. Tauren.

1. Is a change for heroic strike (from the tendinitis inducing state it's in) something that we can look forward to?

1. Warriors consistently deliver the least damage as tank by a large margin, is there any plan to correct this gap?

2. Shockwave is still broken in certain instances and has been for two months, can bug fixes like this be prioritized to maximum level? It's punishing to be skipped on raid invites because we are broken.

3. With fury having no place in PVP will there be anything done with Heroic Fury's awkward and useless positioning deep in the fury tree?

4. Sword spec is the least effective weapon specialization, is there any plan to remove or significantly reduce the internal cooldown?

5. Will rage be homogenized across all warriors to help bypass the disparity of performance based on gear without penalizing top-end DPS?

6. Are there plans to evaluate the give-take system of warrior talents and change them to be purely beneficial?

1. Why nerf Fury warriors so hard? I changed from Fury to Arms and gained 30% DPS single target.

2. Why are Warrior tanks the lowest DPS tanks?

3. Arms warriors cannot DPS very well on a moving target (slam .5 sec cast...well you get the failness), is there a plan to fix this?
