(limited optional PVP XP does exist...for example...the weekly Wintergrasp quest(s) )

I levelled my hunter from level 29-40 exclusively through AB mark turn-ins way back in the day. Would queue up in Arathi and then roam around mining Iron ore. Did that until 40. Its how I was able to afford my mount.

I agree with the OP. The only thing I really miss about the Warhammer MMO is leveling through pvp. I don't think the argument that "this is a pve game" is valid or even correct. Just because the game wasn't shipped four years ago with pvp doesn't mean it's not now a partially pvp game. BG's, arena, world pvp objectives, WG. I think one could even argue most of the class changes in nearly every patch for the last few patches has more to do with arena/pvp balancing than pve balancing.

Must be part of the BG revamp.

I really hope they make it so winning in BGs gives more honor than mindlessly HK farming like it is now. BGs for people who try to get the objectives done is really frustrating when nobody helps you out.

its really a PVE game, that has a pvp mini game or two.
arena can be fun, and BGs are fun most of the time, but there are only a few of each, and they arent balanced very well. fireball was resisted, you cant do that while stuned, server lagg causes you to be 3 feet from where you thought you were, and the keyboard turner with a better class/gear/partner combo just killed you despite you playing better than him.

counter strike is a PVP game, it is balanced, and it has lots of game modes/maps to play on. you can even get warcraftish skins now i think.

sadly strangers do have the best candy

Seriously the best damn thing i've heard all year, if not in the last 2-3 years.

I've been wanting to level alts up through BGs/PvP instead for ages (WaR did that well, rest of the game sucked)
