Yes... but just because taurens are cuddly and fun to tip, doesn't mean that their cat form shouldn't look like it could do some damage.

When I see their paws I just go "lawl, that'd be like getting hit with a really big marshmallow"

lulz.

Someone got told.

Exactly. Cats keep their claws sheathed when not fighting anyways. So, realistically, they wouldn't be there at all!

You're right this game thrives on realism. its realistic that I can turn into a tree, or a rogue can stealth, or having a gnome MT a dragon >.>

So no one should complain about a cat with round fluffy paws being able to rip your face off, right?

As far as the elongated muzzle goes it's actually about right for a real lion. They have much longer faces than a housecat. It takes some jaw length to get your teeth around the trachea of a cape buffalo after all.

Another issue is that in the posted samples there are cases where due to the angle the mane and shoulder don't appear very distinct from the back of the head, and at a quick glance might create the impression of an overly long head.

Anyhow, if you actually know what a cow shaped head looks like and what a lion shaped head looks like the new forms are very lion shaped with the exception of the horns.

If you don't know what the real animals look like I suggest web posted photos, or better yet sorting through a pile of National Geographics.

People who stack raids will stack raids.

"Bring the player. . . " is for everyone else. It will not stop stacking, it just makes it unnecessary.

It's actually accurate to most large cats like lions or tigers. Claws are retractable, not something that always must be displayed.

Not sure what people are whining about.

Q u o t e:

You ARE aware that the models are still the same, but one has horns and the other has ears, right?

Yes, tauren get a bear necklace and cat nosering, but the Nelf cat is going to have the same "elongated face" and "marshmallow paws".

You know NE's were closer to the Nightsabers in the game than the Lions right?

The only thing I could complain about is the quality difference from player models to the new forms, they really all need to be updated.

My Death Knight would like a word with you.

Anyways, new Tauren forms are great. Makes me wish leveling a druid wasn't so slow in the early levels. I can't wait to see the new Night Elf cat forms! :D

As someone who has worked on a 3d short with a lion as the main character, this is very true. The heads of cats are deceptively long (even housecats, apart from Persians). We made the face on ours slightly too short and it ended up looking like a dog.

Lion muzzles are very, very long, and the modifications to the tauren cat model are great.
