Q u o t e:
This is correct. The caster and travel form armor benefits occur if you have the talent even if Barkskin is not up.
While we were succesful getting Resto druids into tree form in Arena, we were a little too succesful. We're not sure it's fun for either the druid or the people trying to kill the druid to be locked in tree form all the time. This change will hopefully make the fights a little more dynamic.
Seriously? This was the priority when you made tree-form godly? Let me follow the logic:
"Let's buff Tree form, druids need help."
Druids instantly become white-hot in arena, absolutely dominating other healers by outmanaing absolutely everything.
"Innervate is lackluster, lets buff that too"
Druids become absolutely godly - promoting a tree form tanking playstyle that's extremely hard to work around - often times barely ever leaving tree.
"Well if druids are spending too much time in tree, lets just make them even better!"
Sometimes the answer is, in fact, a nerf (and no, 240->200% is roughly 5% more melee damage taken, which basically amounts to nothing). Buffing Druid armor in caster/travel form is just going to make them more absurd than they already are - allowing them to apply offensive pressure and CC while ALSO being unkillable and impossible to outmana.
Well I guess the brightside is I'm almost done gearing up my druid so I can actually play 2s and 3s again! I guess this toon is now completely relegated to 5v5 heroism bot - now if only I could switch raiding mains so I have use there.
