GC is there any new on the fix to moonkin 4pt8 that you may be able to share.

Or at least let us know if it being looked into since we have had no discussion on the bug?

I'd like to know also since I have 3 pieces sitting in the bank. Will get the 4th one maybe next week.

Then change it it is not very good anyway changing the proc rate means we just lose more 4 piece bonus procs.


And change the tooltips to say next starfire cast will be instant unless you are casting a starfire then you lose the instant cast starfire and have to reapply swarm for another minute to get the next proc.

Sarcasm i assure you. Just dont see why we hav it if it is not going to work as intended.

so does this mean this can't be fixed? and that the 15% proc was a bandaide?

because I fondly remember this happening when you changed Omen of Clarity to proc off anything we do. The proc would go off during a cast and would be eaten up when the cast was over and we still paid full mana for the spell.

And the moonkin community understands that the proc cannot be applied to a starfire already being cast we just dont want to lose the proc or have to stopcast to get it.

We don't want it to apply to the cast currently being cast.

We want to apply to the next cast. The way it is suppose to work.


IE you get the proc while your casting, you finish your cast, then the next cast when we push the key is an instant cast.

exactly. we understand if it procs in the middle of a starfire cast.. you obviously wont get the instant starfire during the cast.

but right now it's being eaten up after the normal starfire is cast... thus we don't even get a bonus.

might as well remove the bonus altogether and give us the T7 4p bonus again. because a static 5% crit is a lot better than procs being eaten during a starfire cast

I assume this is common for many casts and abilities. IE if while leveling an enhancement shaman and you start casting with 3 stacks of maelstrom, and a weapon swing hits ater the cast and procs more maelstorms it eats the charges without gaining from them.

If I remember correctly this could happen with natures grace in the past too.

So if I understand it right, it's a 5% proc (under ideal circumstances), with a 1 min CD, for a 4-PC T8 bonus? Just how short was the straw when you drew it for the moonkins? I guess I should just become perma resto since I'm not using any of my tier items. After 3 weeks of being bugged, I'm fully disheartened that we got a bandaid as our 4-PC.

Please GC - I beg you on behalf of every druid I've ever known who has shown a grain of salt worth's interest in becoming a boomkin - Until you fix this problem, please just give us back our T7 4-PC.

Ok, I just want to make sure I properly understand what you are saying here. Basically the 'bug' we are all talking about isn't a bug, it is the way it has to work given how the game mechanics are? So the current starfire consuming the buff when it lands, as opposed to the buff affecting the next starfire cast is the way it's going to stay?

I just want to make sure this is clear, because it is going to greatly affect my gearing decisions.

I would also like to point out that dps warriors will at most wear 2 pieces of tier 8 as BiS, but for arms will most likely only be the helm.

Ulduar gear on the whole isn't very good.

This is supposed to work like the warlock talent nightfall. Where the next cast is instant, not the current one.

I want the new bonus it makes things very interesting, I just want it to work the way it's stated on the gear. I think we're all very confused with GC's response due it being way out in left field. But we all have long stressful days and make minor mistakes like that.

then why don't you make your own thread about it to get your set improved?

this is about boomkin T8 and ONLY boomkin T8. Not about how some of the other sets are just as bad as boomkin T8
