Is there a legitimate reason you dont give resto shamans more CC, a stronger instant heal, or atleast some means of escape ? I'm not trying to QQ( allthough ultimately I guess I am) I'm really just trying to understand why you decide not to buff resto shamans.

You know there's a shaman forum and a Q&A session incoming? Go post there, pick one of the several post currently active.

Because Shamans are fine? You got hex in Wrath, you have Earth shield, and you have Earthgrab/bind and Ghostwolf. Shaman arena rep is fine, they don't need buffs (though a few classes need nerfs).

Edit: MY FIRST FIRST. I'd like to thank my guild, Illyria, my mother, my friend Ninya for introducing me to the game... oh wow this is so exciting!

If you replace those blue pvp pieces with some decent pvp gear you should be fine. Get your res above 800 and sp above 1700 at least and suddenly earthshield works a lot better...

Also don't forget that totem stomping is not intended so once Blizz finds a fix for that shamans will be extremely powerful in arena. I really think a huge part of why they don't do as well as other classes is because a huge part of their class is essentially instantly nullified (totems).

Because picking up a talent for 30% when people can just spam dispell/purge is REALLY useful. All healing grace does is lower threat (useless if your tank doesn't suck) And dispell resistance for...ES and Riptide...WOOPIE!

Great arguments by two EZMODE classes.

Elemental has earthgrab/bind, not resto. Also I have better places to put points then into Ghostwolf for the insta cast ability that can be purged off. Hex is a 2 sec cast, not instant, and when getting pounded 2 sec = death.

get me a beer or get out of my way.

I'm kind of curious about your Shaman experience Neth, have you played a Shaman at all in higher end raiding or arenas? If so, what spec, and did you enjoy it compared other classes you've played??

Life is not a practice, always play to win.

Instant ghostwolf is your friend. You really aught (sp?) to snag that talent, even if it's dispellable, it's not always dispelled; use trash buffs such as water walking and water breathing to help prevent that. Besides, I'm not positive on the number, but I'm pretty sure that they're burning more mana than you are dispelling your ghost wolf every time you cast it.

Hex is a 1.5 second cast, so drop stoneclaw, grounding (to prevent mindfreeze, ES/WS, CS, etc.), and then cast hex if you have to. Getting it off later is better than lying facedown.

This thread is hilarious.

Shaman asking for "more CC" and "better ways to escape."

You're the second best healing class at "escaping" already.

You're the BEST healing class at CC.

You are terrible.

Remember when healadins took skill to play, instead of just binding every key to FoL and banging your head on the keyboard? Neither do I.

Paladins and DKs just need to be nerfed a bunch. That's all PvP needs atm.

The posters above me don't seem to know what they're talking about.
ghost wolf (talented or not) does not remove snares or roots, and is only 40%.
You will not gain any ground when using it, and will still be moving slower than whoever you were escaping from, and if it's a ret paladin you'd have been dead nearly the instant he reached you anyway.

I hate to say it but the devs are favoring resto druids over resto shaman resto shaman has 70% less survivability that in itself shows this there is NO WAY a resto shaman can tank like a tree i have been in wsg's where 10 players where beating on tree and could not kill it.

I played resto since last patch i get steam rolled in 3 secs by every class i had riptide, es ect all running and i get facerolled by 1 player no matter what class they are.

Is this fair hell no when are the devs going to do something about it? , until shaman get buffed im just going to keep my shaman on ice till changes are done.
