I want to go dual spec and use feral as secondary spec. Now what I wanna do is tank and DPS when ever I want, so I can switch to bear to tank and switch to bear to DPS. Is this spec good for this purpose?

Can I just go cat form to DPS and still get high DPS and then go bear to tank and still do amazing at it?

You skipped the majority of the mitigation and dodge talents.

Since tanking is the more difficult of the two roles I'd reccomend forgoing some dps in exchange for useable tanking.



Or, if you'd prefer I discourage you altogether there is no spec that can give the the best of both worlds.

is about the best hybrid spec i can come up with. its got a slight favor towards tanking since it has most of the kitty talents and almost all of the bear talents. That being said going hybrid in the feral try means your always gonna be subpar at both tanking and dps. You would be better suited for Off tank more than anything else

Thats a very dps heavy spec, you need to have Thick Hide for the 10% extra armor and natural reaction and protector of the pact for you mitigation. otherwise your gonna be a very squishy tank

Well as far as tanking, I don't mean to MT anything. Just to tank in heroics, OT in small T7-T7.5 instances. Think it can do it?

well you can tank heroic, and maybe 10 man naxx with a kitty spec if your gear is good enough and healers are decent. I would still say pick up those talents to make it a little easier on your healers.

Has all the essentials to fufill either Tanking or DPS roles if geared correctly for each. You have 6 points to spend wherever. 9 points if you consider the 3 in Infected Wounds optional (I do, but needed to spend a point to move up the tree). How you decide to spend those last 6-9 points is tough to get any significant benefit toward a role without devoting all those points to bettering only that role. That then leaves the role unattended performing less than optimal, but still 'good enough' if geared and played well.

Natural Reactions and Thick Hide serve to furthering a more tank-centric hybrid.

Predatory Instincts and likely Imp Mangle would be the options of a more Dps focused build.

Imp Mark of the Wild and Natural+Master Shapeshifter might be the choice if you were looking to keep it more balanced between them.

I wouldn't recommend something like 1pt. in Thick Hide, 2 in NR, 2 in IW, 2 in Imp Mangle, and 2 in Imp MoTW, but if it more suits the actual degree to which you switch between the roles you could give it a shot.



Play how you like and spec and gear how you play and it should all work out in the end.
