It is no longer required to have the goblin rep at exalted at the same time as Bloodsail at honored. While I would normally say that it is merely a change from the ptr to live, this just happened after the restarts this morning, with several people being awarded the title.

Bump. Be nice to know if this was intended so those of us working on it know what to do.

As this was a meta achievement, there was no way to gain credit for having done parts of it, visible to the player at least.

Like I said in the original post, if this had gone in with the patch on Tuesday, I would have chalked it up to one of those differences that occur going from the ptr to the live servers. However, this only started to occur this morning after the rolling restarts. If you logged out Friday night without having the achievement yet had been exalted with the goblin factions at some time, by logging in after the restart Saturday you were given the title, even if no rep had changed between the two log ins.

And as other posters have mentioned, up until Saturday morning it was required to have them all at the same time. There's quite a few youtube videos of people testing this, both on ptr and live. They only got the meta when they met all the requirements at the same time.

I, and others, would like to know if this was a bug fix and how it should have been all along, or if it is a bug that just appeared with whatever got hotfixed this morning.

Bumping to see if I can save myself about 40 hours of grinding, or if this is a bug.

Bumping as well. It's not in the patch notes nor any of the hotfix notes and this was NOT the case until yesterday. Is this now the way it works, you don't need them all at once?

It would be nice to get a direct response, as there were many threads asking for blue confirmation during the ptr and we only got 'you'd be insane to try' from a blue.

This operated the same way the Exalted does - in which only your current reps count as criteria. So if you had completed Mercenary of Sholazar by raising Oracles and Frenzyheart to exalted at different times, you would not gain 2 reps towards the exalted - only the one you are currently exalted with. The Insane worked the same way on the ptr, where your current steamwheedle rep only counted as the criteria. So to the blue - yes, grinding goblin rep to exalted and then destroying it for bloodsail would not count as criteria on the ptr/early this week.

It's cool if you want to change/nerf it, but don't play it off that it's been this way for the past month.

Edit: Chatted with some of my friends who are grinding back goblin rep on US Elune that were previously exalted with steamwheedle and have completed the rest of the criteria for the Insane - they do not currently have the FoS completed - there's an inconsistency somewhere.

Bumping this again for selfish reasons: I'm about to destroy my goblin rep and the pain will be easier to take if I know that I no longer have to redo :)

I, too, would love to know the status on this as I'm in the middle of bringing the cartel rep back out of the crapper.

As of last monday when the faire went live, I didn't ding insane when I hit exalted with DMF after intentionally lowering myself to friendly with the bloodsail a few days before. Video proof below.

This is not quite accurate.

After the patch hit I had assumed i needed to have both reps at the same time. So I waited a few days then ground bloodsail from 0/36k hated to honoured. When I hit honoured I was awarded the feat + title I had goblins exalted when I logged on and ground out the bloodsail in a single sitting (no log off/break). By that point of the grind I was of course fully hated with the goblins. I did not simply log on and receive the title.

Finality in clarification would be nice as Kambiae's video raises the question, which was the bug? From the above response from the QA and a previous response from an ingame GM it seems there is some confusion on blizzards side - as if there is no bug as they have confirmed, why did Kambiae not get his title until he 'fixed' his bloodsail rep?

I'd also be interested in finding out how this is working? I had my bloodsail title but no longer am honored with them as i grinded back my steemweedle cart rep.
Would obviously prefer if I didn't need to backtrack =P

that title only requires friendly, so unless you started grinding steamwheedle only recently you will have to regrind them

It's problems like these that imply we need to have feats of strength trackable before they're achieved so we can see if we're doing something wrong.. otherwise this can waste months of someones time..

Ah thats right I forgot, oh well thats not to bad more concentrating on the ravenholdt at the moment and collecting these junkboxes.
