But how do crabs reproduce?

Arthropods generally lay eggs. If you mean how do the eggs get fertilized, the same way they usually do. One catch with big crustaceans is that they can only mate following a molt. Males of some crabs will literally keep a claw on a female who is about to molt until she' sheds her skin. Molted crabs are soft, which is where softshell crabs come from. However because their mouthparts are also soft, they don't eat for awhile following a molt. This can make them difficult to catch say blue crabs (Callinectes spp.)through conventional methods, which use bait. Many crustaceans carry the eggs until they hatch. Larval crustaceans are very small and are carried through the water column as plankton. Insects by contrast tend to have a mobile adult form and a relatively immobile larval form (think butterfly v. caterpillar). Crustaceans have a mobile larva and adults that don't travel great distances (or in the case of barnacles, not at all).

WAIT WAIT WAIT GC::: Don't baby crabs come from storks??
Oh god, how would that work.. Stork brings baby crabs, soon to be orphans because STORK EATS MOMMY AND DADDY?

GC's parents were eaten by storks or herons. Logic Rules.

GC,

Where have you been in all these years that we've spent slugging through combative or uninspired blue posts, assuming they showed up at all?

I hope more of your player base appreciates what you do here.

I hate the way warriors did not receive the survivability changes they need (and other classes have) to be competitive, but I approve of this thread. As crappy as the game may be at times, nobody deserves to be spit on the way the forum community has on GC in past days.

As much as I have enjoyed GC's company these many months . . .

I hate crabs, lobsters, and crustaceans of all sorts. They are sea bugs. Even the idea of eating one gives me the heebey-jeebies. Be like eating a giant spider to me.

As such, I question GC's sanity. Putting up with us and enjoying the study of sea bugs.
