The token system is great, I love it. But honestly, 5-piece sets just don't deliver the "impact" that the 8-piece sets did. Maybe that's in part because the sets are being introduced so quickly compared to original WoW, but I think the full sets just had a much more epic "look" to them. When you had your full Tier 2, you weren't just a Paladin with great (mix-n-match) gear; you were a Paladin with *Judgement*. Or Dreadnaught; I remember seeing guys with pieces of Dreadnaught, and thinking "Wow, they're almost 'there'", and nothing is more intimidating than seeing a warrior walking around in his full Dreadnaught armor (particularly, when he's running at you in Warsong Gulch, lmao).

I think the 5-piece sets definately have their place, but they just feel much more "temporary", whereas the 8-piece sets just had a sense of power about them, that made them much more desirable.

They say 5 piece sets is to allow more flexibility for you when gearing. The truth is probably that they don't want classes that get two or three sets to be able to stack multiple 2 piece or 4 piece bonuses.

There ARE boots that match each of the TBC tier sets.

Just curious, why not? Is it the issue of set bonuses (ie. set bonuses heavily encourage you to pass on upgrades), or is it something else?

Thy already have Belt, Bracer, and Boot graphics for all Tier 4-6 sets, yet only certain Class-Specs are able to wear a "complete" set. Perhaps making additional 3-piece sets (Belt, Bracers, Boots) with matching graphics, but selectable "spec" would be a more welcome solution?

I hate wearing generic boots, bracers, and belt.

Not sure if they need to add more pieces of gear per set, but it would be nice to change things up a bit and not always have each set be in the same gear slot. Pretty boring for it to always be helm, chest, shoulders, gloves, and pants.

Also...what happened to bracers in this game? Is it just me or do 90% of all dpsers use the epic BG bracers? There seems to be a lack of bracer drops in raid instances

8 piece sets were nice. I have something else I would love to see.

Items that are part of multiple sets: Hat which is part of three different sets. You could match it to different sets or several smaller sets and the like.

OR

More smallers set which can be combined together: You got you five piece and now you can get different set (say 3 piece) made from slots not used in the five piece set. Or sets of two or three parts, which you can collect so that you might have three or four comple sets when you are done collecting them all.

OR

gems that are sets in and of themselves. Get the five gems of XYZ and gain X power/skill/points. I like the idea of having a weapon with 5 gem slots which when filled with the five appropriate gems, upgrades the weapon to the next level of that item. Then you can get the five gems to upgrade those previous gems to upgade the weapon yet again. You would be getting benefits like you might be able to access an instance (like keying).

The problem with a big 8 piece armor set is that it may cause someone to ignore an item that would be great for them as they are focused on the specific items that will get their set bonus. With the 5 piece sets, players are able to mix and match pieces to fit their style of play better or even help out for the specific encounter they are at.

At this time we are happy with the itemization that the 5 piece armor sets offer and plan to continue implementing them.
