They should get along just fine. Both can tank but neither will.

I've cleared and typed this three times, trying to figure out what to say.

I rolled a warr to tank. I enjoy tanking. I'm happy that there are druid and paladin tanks. I have alts and it's nice to take a break from doing pitiful damage and getting beat on, to actually do some damage. That being said, they already have enough issues balancing the three tanks they have.

This is no longer a question of will warriors coexist. Will any other tank class coexist? A tanking hero class that can 2h tank beats pink tier sets, leather armor, and being forced to chose between pve or pvp viability, unable to do one with the other.

I can't see having both of them in a group and just constantly dueling because they refuse to do so.

By adding another dps/tanking class, the Death Knight will give players and groups more options for what they need to complete their objective(s).

So basically having a Warrior, Druid and Paladin class just wasn't enough. Guess you should have thought about that when you nerfed Druids and gave Paladins crap for tanking gear. So what you are saying is we get yet another subpar tanking class because they aren't supposed to tank over a warrior. I can't wait to roll a subpar class again. I'll add it to my collection of useless hybrids.

Of course they will coexist.

If by coexist you mean that warriors will continue to be the best tanking class for all progression content, while Deathknights may tank one or two gimmick fights over the course of the expansion, while remaining decidedly inferior to warriors in the raiding tanking. And they might DPS as well as a Feral Druid.

Nothing will move warriors from being the focal point of raids. Ever.

I'm not really upset about it - I giggle everytime I get random tells begging for a tank, then go back to pewpewing stuff with my moonlasers.

I particularly love it when I see a DPS warrior spamming "LF1M <random instance> need tank".

Feral Druid downfall starts in ssc when the gear starts to dry up once you hit BT you are being outdpsed by ret paladins, Prot paladins just need a major revamp in terms of gear but they are viable in ssc and TK make a lot of fights much easier.

The make really good OT, so does prot paladins, so why the hell do we need yet another class to do the same thing?

And I didn't say they weren't, I just said they were nerfed and they were. For a class that can't mitigate crushing blows, they sure nerfed the only thing that did help, stam and armor.

Feral druids need a talent to slow down attack speed in cat form so they can actually do damage. That is what is killing druid dps, 1.0 attack speed. How many rogues do you see with 1.3 speed daggers in their main hand or off hand?

aye and the restrictions in terms of their inability to take full advantage of haste rating,buffs etc, not to mention very few upgrades basically makes them start falling behind.

Just wondering if there are any Warriors out there that feel like they are getting pushed to the side by Deathknights. I mean, the class wears your armor, apparently fulfills the exact same role (dps and tanking) as you do, and likely will be very popular since you can skip the first 50 levels of the game. I mean, just imagine it: Deathknights will rain from the stormy skies come Wrath release, as the cries LFM TANK gently drift off into the Twisting Nether, never to be heard again. So, guess I am wondering what are you Warriors planning to do about it, or if you even think that its going to be a serious problem at all.

HAHAHA!!! Warriors peacefully coexisting with another tank class!?! HA! Just look at what's happened to druids and pallys, anytime there is even the mention of bringing our tanking up to parity with warriors they go ballistic. I for one am extremely glad another tanking class is coming into the fold.

Glad? Glad you say? Why would a tank be glad another class is being introduced that can tank? Well I say with only 3 specs in the game that can tank and warriors having a disproportionate role in tanking bringing DKs in will hopefully more even things out. Who knows, maybe the devs when rebalancing the tanking game will see how paladins are seen as sub-par tanks and move accordingly to fix us.
