Wow, we were just talking about this in guild chat earlier today.
The reason that you would never see a gnome shaman is this, the totems are as tall as the gnome, when they dropped one, they'd be able to hide too well and it would be OP.
Gnome druids would be too cute and no one would be able to focus with them around.
Gnome priests and paladins? Make it happen, please!

I don't even know why you're so nice to that thing. It clearly hates you. I just run mine until it dies, then summon him fresh and do it again until he stops mouthing off.

The obvious answer is because Gnomes have no soul. A soulless race can't channel the powers of the Light in order to heal anyone. That's why Gnomes tend to be classes that cause destruction, especially warlocks. After all, if they can't have a soul, why should anyone else?
Actually theres a quest in blades edge mountains that prove gnomes do in fact have a soul.

It's already unfair enough how easily it is for a gnome to hide in pvp, if gnomes could roll healing classes it would be taking the term "Pocket Healer" to the extremes.

Whenever ive played a lock, i found that the imp mouthed off more then the voidwalker, but then again maybe i didnt pay attention to what the voidwalker said. The imps little whiny voice was like hearing nails down a chalk board.

why not get the heal power from the titans them selfs this would make more sence . yes gnomes need healers . if you want a way this would it and would be along the story line
