You realize there's a reason people come here and discuss changes right?

If the changes are bad (Which they are) we WILL come here to try to get them changed to something useful.

Telling people not to QQ is probably the most idiotic thing you could do in the face of proper discussion.

Who cares? Either way that kind of logic just leads to "Pallies" wanting that 4-set nerfed, and "Warriors" also "wanting" that 4-set nerfed, going by your logic.

Pallies, DK's, Druids AND Warriors have always whined on these forums. It's nothing special. There's been enough whining from warriors and pallies and DK's and Druids that giving each other crap about whining is just dumb when that finger points right back at you.

It pains me so to agree with a protadin but the OP is correct. The bonuses are garbage. It also says that in order for a warrior to be a viable progression tank, s/he needs to have the 4PC bonus and pally are just...well f'kd.

They reeeeeeeeeaally need to fix block and stop putting BV on tier pieces and set bonuses. Block is absolute garbage.

If you dont like it, don't click the link and stay out of our discussion about OUR tier 8 4 piece bonus.

Im sure anyone can see that 224 block value for 3 seconds is so horribly worthless that it needs to be fixed.

Set bonuses are just that, bonuses. You tanks are vastly overrating the Warrior T8 4p set bonus. Yes, it's a lot of magic damage reduction, but it's also only for 10 seconds out of 60. For those remaining 50 seconds, this set bonus has absolutely no value. Why is that important? Because if the Warrior can't survive those other 50 seconds, then it doesn't matter anyways.

Set have always sucked, continue to suck, and will always suck from T7+ and beyond. Blizzard does not want to repeat the mistakes of BC where some set bonuses (like feral druid) were so powerful, that some classes were forced to wear specific tier gear regardless of which tier they were actually progressing through.

Set bonuses are simply bonuses, nothing else. When you see a crappy set bonus, be thankful you won't still be wearing T7 or T8 after you kill Arthas.

Not to derail or anything; but is it possible that the feral 2 pc bonus will be adjusted/modified so that it also benefits bear tanks? At the moment, it is >worthless<. I don't need clearcasting while tanking progression content, I'm swimming in rage,

Good to hear, will at least be both mitigation and threat bonus that way.

Although, I would argue threat still seems like the least of all worries for protection paladin's at the moment.

Ghosty, if you could check out these suggestions, I've outlined some of the "hot issues" for Paladin tanking, and my ideas for improvement.

Here's my Ulduar 10 and 25 librams.

Ulduar 10:

Libram of the Loyal Defender

300 Armor
[] Blue Socket
Equip: Increases your Strength and Block Value by 150 for 8 seconds when you critically hit with Judgement, Hammer of the Righteous, Exorcism, or Shield of Righteousness.

Socket Bonus: +6 Dodge Rating


Ulduar 25:

Libram of the Stalwart Defender

450 Armor
[] Blue Socket
Equip: Increases your Strength and Block Value by 200 for 8 seconds when you critically hit with Judgement, Hammer of the Righteous, Exorcism, or Shield of Righteousness.

Socket Bonus: +12 Dodge Rating.

Is this OP? I really don't think so. Linear progression from 10->25 man content a la our Tier 8 gear, since it is class specific.

Also...
2pc T8 set bonus: Allows your Seal of Vengeance to stack up to 6 times per target.
4pc T8 set bonus: Your Lay on Hands ability also grants an absorption affect equal to half of the Paladin's maximum HP.

And one more thing to make us worthwhile:

Glyph of Holy Shield: Allows your Holy Shield to expend up to 4 charges to protect the Paladin from a magical assault. Each charge expended in this way reduces the magical damage of the attack by 5%.
The damage of the 4 charges is directed toward the caster of the hostile spell. This glyph increases the cooldown of Holy Shield to 20 seconds.

Now, this makes Block Rating actually useful again to help those 10 seconds or more without Holy Shield, makes up for our lack of stats on Librams (Librams get worse per Tier, guns get better? What?), gives us a 4pc on par with Warrior 4pc, a 2 pc that's slightly more fun than 10% seal damage, and a magical oh **** button, if you Glyph for it, that is.

Seriously, this stuff isn't OP, it's just more fun. Please respond GC, and let me know what you think, and why my ideas may or may not work. I don't do this often, so it'd be cool getting a response.
