Currently on PTR the new noblegarden event achievements have been added to "What a Long Strange Trip its Been"; and brew of the year has been removed (I would venture due to the static time constraint).

If 3.1 isn't ready by the time Noblegarden rolls around, will noblegarden and the new achievements be patched in beforehand so that people who have been working on long strange trip since last brewfest don't have to wait until next April for the holiday meta achievement?

It's part of blizzards plan to make sure no one gets the achievement and keep playing.... to get the new achievements that are added for new holidays that keep happening each year.

Noblegarden starts April 12th, if I'm not mistaken. I would really like to see the holiday patched on the live realms before then, even if 3.1 isn't, for just that reason.

The current plan is to delay Noblegarden should the testing process run long. You should be able to get your week of egg-hunting in.

And for those of you not looking forward to the egg-hunting of Noblegarden... I think you'll find it a wee bit different this year. ;)

So basically if the patch is not ready in time, then skip the meta and players can still get the violet drake as early as September of this year?

Or would the meta still be added post holiday and force players to wait until next spring to complete the long strange trip achievement?

This is Blizzard here. They have this odd trade in policy. For every one bug you get them to take out, they have to give us 10 more bugs.

I think what he's saying is that Noblegarden will be physically moved on the calender to some undisclosed time after 3.1 is released, should 3.1's release date be after Noblegarden's currently scheduled time.

Also, I hope this "wee difference" includes a dungeon boss on the lines of Headless Horseman or Coren Direbrew. I like those. Fighting off risen noblemen in Stratholme/Scholomance anyone?

Sounds to me like Noblegarden will not start until the patch goes live.

In other words, if the patch doesn't come out until April 28 then that's when Noblegarden will start.

That's a relief.

So how is it different?

Are there eggs in northrend? Did Arthas hide them?

Are little evil easter bunnies of doom going to pop out of some of them and attack us?!?!?!

This is a relief. Some people had taken to interpret the date of Noblegarden to mean Patch 3.1 would be live by then.

I'm hoping Nobelgarden goes live the Sunday after the patch, not on that very Tuesday... the first 2-3 days after major patches are always a mess, heh.

I don't like signatures, but the posts just look wrong without that one line of junk at the bottom.

I can see it now:

Eggs have been scattered throughout all Northrend instances. *Insert single item here* Can only drop from level 80 raid instances.

actually achievements are already on PTR, and they aren't that bad with the exception of the 3 RNG achievements that will suck in elwynn forrest, especially considering how crowded it's going to be. I can already see another "be mine" situation happening with this holiday cause of these 3.

But the rest just involve doing silly things in different areas. Wowinsider covered all of them already earlier this month.

Are there plans to test Noblegarden (or Children's Week for that matter, I'm very concerned that Daily Chores will inherit the reset issues that plague its non-holiday counterpart) on the PTR's? One week holidays don't leave much room for error when bugs appear on the live servers.

A week now instead of one day! Yay! You know, this will be the first time ever, in all my years of playing this game, that I will get to see the Noblegarden event!

Is it really going to be a week of egg-hunting? Both the live in-game calendar and the events calendar at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/events/calendar/ currently show Nobelgarden as being a single-day event.

It has already been confirmed that Noblegarden is being extended to a one-week event. The live and website calendars don't reflect this because the change isn't live yet.

Please tell me that Noblegarden isn't a "Visit the Easter Bunny in every single horde outpost in the game!" or "Get an easter egg every hour from an innkeeper!" type event.

Please, for my sanity...

Please don't have the RNG be too bad for this holiday, Be Mine was a pain. It spawned endless QQ and i admit i was part of that QQ at the start. Doing it every hour hoping for a candy bag to spawn was not "Fun".

Having most of the event be fun stuff and then the last part becoming a soul sucking experience because of the random number generator really taints the entire holiday. If the holiday requires inhuman hours of dedication then it needs to be rethinked.

If people have to spend the entire week farming eggs cause of the low drop rate then something is really wrong

I just have to ask why does blizzard love the RNG so much?
