The "One That Didn't Get Away" Achievement should be either:

Buffed drop rate (seeing 0.1% for achievement)
OR
Achievements for 2500 Fish and 5000 Fish for some sort of fishing pole.
OR
Change the Salty Fishing Title requirements.

Just asking for anyone's opinions.

Not sure I understand, but I don't think the achievement should be changed.

As for poles and other stuff, new fishing dailies give a chance for a pole or two, I believe, and we already have a new one from Tuskar rep. Why do we need more?

If they add new fishing achievements, I could go either way on them affecting the title.

I do agree with achievements for 2500, 5000, and even 10000 fish. Most people will hit at least 5000 long before they catch all of the rare achievement fish.

Add more fishing achievements, dont change any.

Yeah, I think they should put in 2500, 5000, and 10000 fish achievements too. They don't necessarily have to up the meta (even though most people there already have that many), but it would be nice to be able to compare.

Go fish for the Dark Herring from Fangtooth Herring Pools, got mine after 73 casts. The big lake in northern Howling Fjord is really nice for them, they respawned before I got all the way around the lake.

My question is why does it appear that new fishing poles can never hit the +35 fishing or higher mark? Does the tournament fishing pole from classic WOW have to be the best pole out there forever? I have it but I still feel like it is a bit silly that 2 expansions later it is still the top dog of the fishing pole world.

After spending almost a week in Elwynn Forest, Teldrassil and the like, I moved to Northrend and got the fish within a half an hour from these pools

I don't have any problems with The One that Didn't get away. The part that I have a problem with is the fact that Salty requires you to win the Fishing Extravaganza event. Of which, only about 52 people per year can actually win. This isn't a hard achievement, but its purely luck based factor makes it extremely frustrating.

It's not purely luck, nor is it purely PvP, nor is it purely fishing.

But it's primarily a PvP achievement, so I agree that it has no business in a fishing meta.
