0. New Armory Feature: Arena Records 03/12/2009 06:01:02 PM PDT
Every Arena team profile on the Armory (http://www.wowarmory.com) now includes Arena Records, new tools that track and measure the performance of every Arena team in World of Warcraft. These tools comprise the Match History tab, the Opponent History tab, and Match Reports.
* The Match History tab displays every Arena match that a team has played during the season in an interactive graph showing the date, opposing team, and result of each match.
* The Opponent History tab displays a team's Arena matches in relation to the opposing teams faced, which helps track performance against particular team compositions.
* The Match Reports display the same end-of-match results and statistics that appeared in-game. For more details, visit the FAQs for these new tools:

This is an AMAZING addition, many kudos to those who took the time to make it happen. Hell, this tells you more information that you even get in-game (if you search for a specific match you can find out how long the match took, how much damage you TOOK, how much healing you RECEIVED, etc).
If I might make a suggestion though, the one thing this new system needs is a slightly more robust filter & search feature. I'd absolutely love to be able to filter games by length of game, composition fought against, map fought on, etc.

That's pretty amazing.
I don't know if anyone here will remember this but I ran a website for a while called WowArenaTracker that essentially did everything that this does (including the graph history) but required you to submit data manually. I wonder if anyone at Blizzard saw it and took the que, cause this shows you almost the exact same data that my tool did but is an order of magnitude cooler.
I also, just a couple days ago, released an in-game mod on Curse that does the same exact thing in real-time with an in-game browser. Seems there's not very much use for that now unless you want your data back in real-time.
Badass feature, was wondering when Blizzard would do it themselves.

Q u o t e: Why is the armory still in Beta?
Probably has something to do with it not working at all for a large number of systems.
For example, this machine is a dual boot. I cannot connect to the armory in XP unless I get very lucky at certain times of the day. Works fine under any conditions in Vista. Same browsers, same settings.
People told me to roll a warrior if I wanted to tank.
I agreed, and rolled a warrior so that I wouldn't have to spec Ret to smash their faces in.
