Started working on finishing Chef de Cuisine last night, and if I counted it all correctly, I'll have 159/160 if I skip Dirg's Chops.

I know this may actually seem pretty obvious, but I just wanted to make sure that the two new recipes being introduced with the patch will count towards this achievement (you never know!). Think it might also put those who are stuck below 160 at ease knowing that they can complete the achievement if they're currently unable to now.

Thanks!

There are 161 that you can get right now, so you can get the 160 without the kickin chops (which by no means is easy to get...)

this also doesn't include the rouge only one

not sure on the 3.1 ones, but just saying its possible and fairly easy to get them in the current patch

Actually there are a LOT of people having problems, counting and recounting and having more Recipes than what is being shown on the counter. I definitely will have exactly 160 with every recipe in the game (I've triple checked), so my counter is off by 1 if there are 161 not including the tea. That's why it would be nice to know if these 2 will also count towards the achievement.

Actually there are only 160 recipes in game not counting the rogue only item. Many people have hand counted recipes and there are total of 161, with thistle tea being rogue only.

To get all 160 you need 1 recipe that requires exalted with old world reps, lots of farming in a few old world raids, and some hair pulling to get it. Rogue has this one easy, just get thistle tea and skip that old raid stuff.

This is Blizzard here. They have this odd trade in policy. For every one bug you get them to take out, they have to give us 10 more bugs.

Finally got around to the PTR and test this. The Black Jelly Recipe learned in Dalaran does count towards the total. I haven't flown to Gadgetzen yet, but I'm assuming the second new recipe also counts,

I have all the recipes currently in the game and my counter says I have 163, my friend thought there was only 162, so is this what your talking about? The counter is off by one?

This is on a mage btw :D

You are one of the lucky ones getting credit for recipes you don't have.
If you go in and manually count them you should find that you have 160, 161 if you have Thistle Tea.

I have 163 recipes, including Thistle Tea (For some weird reason!) and Dirge's. I had the achievement prior to the patch that added recipes.

The "Chef" title reward has been removed from the cooking achievement now what new recipes have been released which will trivialize the existing content.

Oh wait.. I thought this was about mount rewards.

Carry on.

You only need 100 recipes to get the chef title. It was trivial before achievements were even implemented.

Ignoring the attempt at sarcasm, this is a very important point. Why is it that the slightest change to raiding "trivializes" the raiding achievements (and thus the reward is removed), yet the equivalent magnitude of change to professions is allowed to trivialize the work many of us put in getting the title while it was difficult, without ANY backlash or outcry? Getting every single recipe in the game (well, except the rogue one of course) was challenging, now it looks like in a month the relatively rare title I finally earned will become extremely common. All I ask is for some consistency - if difficult achivements are changed as the game rolls on to protect their prestige, then ALL difficult achievements should get that privilege.

Proper course of action, imo. Glad they're doing this.

We will clearly outgear this achievement to such a degree that new chefs will be a SLAP IN THE FACE to chefs who put the time, hard work, and energy into pre-3.1 cheffery.

I hope they fix the bug with chef de cuisine. Mine has bugged so far down that I still won't reach 160 recipes with these new ones even though I should have credit for 160 already.
