Throwing in my two copper ... I sincerely hope that Reflective Sheild stays in some way. The present 2/2 on MMO Champion makes me pretty happy, even if it is only self cast.

I love the talent, and would be very sad to see it go!

Considering the new talents and how many points i need to get to make disc work effectively...*sigh* reflective still isn't going to be within an acceptable point loss margin for most 'cookie cutter' healer builds.

As an example, Right now, I use 58/13/0 spec, and to get all the points I need to continue to be a disc healer, 59/12 would be it, with 2 points going into inspiration, (I spose those two could goto reflective, but wouldn't be optimal)

Why can't reflective be folded into another shield talent, at least give it dual purpose so your not gimped as much...

There are supposed to be difficult choices that a healer must make when choosing how to spec. If they just gave us all the talents in a tree, what's the point of having talent points. I'm not meaning ot oversimplify what you've stated, but I think it's a good thing that priests have to choose whether or not to spec into reflective. Sure it's not a spell that you would want in your raid spec ( at least with it not working on other players...), but it does have plenty of other uses for priests and many of us enjoy having that option. Besides, everyone complains that disc has so many "Mandatory" talents, it's nice to know that there are optional ones that still fufill their roles appropriately. If they eliminate the talent completely, then it totally kills that choice for priests. Plus, it's not like it's a talent that NOBODY is specc'ing into, like the old improved inner fire. People actually do pick up this talent, why remove it?

I'm not a full-time programmer by any means, but I've done coding, and I've certainly ran into situations where it worked during initial testing, but then something else in the code caused it to break, and fixing that ended up being more trouble than it's worth.

I'm guessing whatever caused the sheild to "break" wasn't so easily fixed or removed, and they just haven't had the time to put the new tech in to work around it.

As I am sure most of you know, the original intent was to let you gain the functionality on any target. When we had to limit it to the priest for technical reasons (that is to say the tech didn't exist to cast it on others) then we became less enamored with the spell, as did many of you.

However it turns out there are plenty of players who still like Reflective Shield exactly as it is, so it may get a stay of execution.

You might save headaches by waiting to announce or push to PTR the deletion of spells that are meant to be replaced with equal or better buffs or spells until those replacements are ready to be announced/uploaded to ptr.

Then again I guess "will this cause forum whining" is probably pretty low on your priority list when it comes to making decisions on what to do when.

i know we've all worked on big programming projects, but writing hangman using a single line of perl is not quite the same as going through and editing... oh, i don't know... 40 billion lines of code spread over 100 files in an SVN that you have to check out.

Can I have normal old TG with no extraneous modifiers added to it?

As stated, it's a wonderful soloing talent.

However, I understand the need to pare down talent choices with the rewrite. So, I say roll it into another talent, since it's self cast only. I completely agree that you don't get much bang for your buck sticking points into something that only benefits soloing. Tack it on to say, imp pw:s talent?

Please leave it dead or change the mechanic. And if you decide to keep it, allow it in Shadowform. Dropping shadowform for 8 seconds to gain about the same amount of mana to re-enter shadowform is dumb.

Any chance you could put our mana regen totally into (a new and improved) Hymn of Hope, and make Shadowfiend a DPS/PvP utility cooldown like it was originally?

And will the rescued Reflective Shield have it's damage restored on others? Or are we stuck with the bugged caster only version forever?

Can we get shiny new toys like the other classes got in the expansion please? Ones that I'd actually considering using, like maybe making Divine Hymn somewhat usable? How about some kind of new nuke for holy farming instead of smite spam, instead of forcing us to pay 1k gold to have fun playing solo again as shadow?
