Honestly.... What the hell? Does anyone know why it is removed? Did you remove it so melee can pound on us without taking damage?

no but in all seriousness, reflective shield is still in the PTR which is strange, also a glyph for hymn of hope, is in game, but hymn of hope has been removed too....

You can link to the patch notes 99 times more, it still didn't get removed on the PTR. Talent point cost has been reduced and it got moved up in the tree from tier7 to tier5.

I know what the patch notes say....

Though last time i was on, (when the servers were still up) there was a two point talent called reflective shield still in the disc tree on the PTR. Maybe they're going to change it? who knows now.

There is a good chance we will just keep this spell. The jury is still out.

As I am sure most of you know, the original intent was to let you gain the functionality on any target. When we had to limit it to the priest for technical reasons (that is to say the tech didn't exist to cast it on others) then we became less enamored with the spell, as did many of you.

However it turns out there are plenty of players who still like Reflective Shield exactly as it is, so it may get a stay of execution.

My personal translation....

We'd hoped to replace this semi-lame spell with the new and improved Power Word: Barrier however, as it turns out, PW:B is turning out to be just too OP in PvP situations when mixed with 10K DA stacks... so, we might have to let you keep it in the semi-lame state if we cant' find a way to make PW:B good but not too good:)

Poor GC. I'm glad I don't have to do the dance that you do on the forums each day :) lol

Achievements = Boredom with purpose. It borders on marketing genius.

Not that i'm judging you or anything, but I think that if the devs really wanted to bring reflective shield back to full power they could.

Though still we have yet to see the other two powers previously talk about, they may make reflective shield OP or they could do nothing for it at all.

Though I for one am glad you decided to leave it in the game, it is like my only way to at least look threatening in PVP and would love if I could use this on other players.

I think reflective shield is excellent for the leveling disc priest. Its another source of damage. It would be very sad to see it go.

Reflective Shield is a great talent. Keep it.

Edit: It's one of the things that makes me feel a bit better about being a glorified punching bag in PvP.

Edit2: To clarify: it's a talent that has a lot of natural synergy with other Discpline Talents and a meaningful source of damage in both short-duration matches against double-dps and longevity matches.

Please do not get rid of Reflective Shield! It's usually the only damage I do to anyone while running away in PVP. Without it I have my dots, which do negligible damage and can be dispelled and my casted offensives which leave me open to lock outs and silences.
