Mages and Shaman being able to zip around like crazy is obnoxious.

To be fair, travel time is not fun in any way. And does not serve as a benefit to the game at all.

Your second point is great. Just make them 2 way ports. Getting from Dalaran to anywhere is great. Getting from the old-world to Dalaran is a massive waste of time without the Hearthstone.

Just put an AH in Dalaran and apply more of a tax for using it. I certainly don't mind the punishment if that's what it takes.

To be fair, getting to Outland is a pain in the butt without a port and no hearth. You have to go to the very corner of the world, literally. Sucks for people leveling 58-68. Getting to dalaran sucks too but not as bad.

I know that BG hearthing is also being removed in 3.1, but are there any plans to change Arena forfeit hearthing? That is, people forming a 2v2 and queuing for a skirmish or even rated match on a team they don't care about and then immediately forfeiting, so that one of the members ends up in the major city that the queue was joined from.

Just want to say I will take as Blizz stating they do not want 80s helping guildies, because I sure am not going to get trapped in someplace like Badlands or Swamp of Sorrows with no way to get back. If you're removing ghetto hearthing i say that you gotta allow flying mounts to work in Azeroth because otherwise you're restricting me to a much slower ground mount or crazily organized flight paths.

Yah, you gotta implement straight flight paths or allow flying mounts in Azeroth. Seriously.
