So I went to gamestop during my lunch break to look for a game. My buddy from work was with me buying WoW and he asked the guy at the counter when Wrath of the Lich King is coming out. The guy at the counter says November so I say "bullsh!t" it's not coming out in November, but then he says "no no it is, we get pretty accurate information in regards to release dates". I say again "bullsh!t" and he gives me a look of disagreement.

Anyway, I don't buy it for one second that the expansion is coming out this year. If so, then I think it's a stupid idea. Not many guilds have even cleared SSC or The Eye let alone stepped foot into Black Temple or Mount Hyjal.

I never believe the dates EB games or Gamestop posts about games releasing xx-xx-xx date unless they are for consoles. Usually those are accurate for the most part.

Is there any truth to this release date? I won't believe it unless blizzard themselves says so.

I had a good laugh when they said November.

One, the above poster is probably correct, the person meant 11/08. Second, no release date has been set, Gamestop (and most other companies) simply make up their own dates in order to take preorders, then describe the product as "delayed". Anything you see now is a total guess, and your own guess has just as much validity.

What exactly is a look of disagreement? I mean, I get the idea, but what does it look like? I can't picture what an expression that is specifically disagreement would look like.

Hell, they changed the release date of Burning Crusade several times. I remember all these posts where people were trying to cite EBGames/Gamestop as a "reliable" source as to Blizzard's Official release date. In the end, very shortly before it's release, they announced it officially. Until Blizzard says anything one way or another, I wouldn't get too excited.

Let me say that again: Until BLIZZARD releases an official date, don't get your hopes up. Any information any website has can quite easily be false, or heck, even purposely drummed up to get people excited and pre-order it from them.

I know you stated 'Usually' but i do have to take this time to point out that EB games was still taking pre-orders for Starcraft: Ghost at its release date after being announced for indefinate hiatus for a full year after that announcement. Made me chuckle just a little inside... and alot outside.

That's a very good point actually.

Blah, I'm not even that excited about the expansion aside from the coolness that will be Naxx. I never got to experience that place much. I can't wait to go there and see it in its entirety. Hell I might just quit now and make a comeback next year. BC is bleh.
