Q u o t e:

Having dool specs is somewhat complicated so a brand new player suddenly jumping into it could be a bit overwhelmed. When you are first learning how to use your difference specs they tend to be quite cheap and easy to jump between for a small amount of gold and (at least in my experience), players leveling up (and especially brand new players) aren't jumping between specs constantly. Veteran players are much more likely to do this and so the option is there for them at a fairly early level.

No cooldown on the 5 second cast currently on the PTR, but it does drain things like mana, rage, etc.

I'm all in favor of all this, PLUS draining 35% of current health.

This is a killer idea, I agree!

One way that might work for making it more accessable for level 40's would be having a scaling price, kind of like the skill bonuses on the "ancient" items buyable with Emblem of Heroism (Like Dignified Headmaster's Charge). Start off like 50-100G at 40, then scale up as you level to the 1K at 80.

It's just too high a cost for leveling characters. Guess we'll still see that healer shortage as no one bothers to spend 1000g as they level and continue being ret, enh, shadow, feral at least until 80. The very design of this seems to be totally going against the "problem" I imagine that it is intended to solve.

Like others, I have the money but there's always other useful things to spend it on.

No No. DUEL specs!

And for those of us who don't plan on switching back and forth enough to justify the 1000g... WTB, trainers in Dalaran... :)

Would be an awesome idea but the price should come down to about 100g if you are going to open it up to level 40s.

There is no healer or tank shortage, they just don't want to carry your crummy pug. No matter what blizz does it won't help. Can't fix stupid.

Again, you don't need to be a heal spec to heal, people can and do heal low level instances in their leveling spec. This is intended, folks who say "I don't want to heal, I'm xxx spec" just DO NOT WANT TO HEAL, period.

Summonable lexicon is a maybe at this point, not really sure what you would need it for but we'll see how it goes.

No cooldown on the 5 second cast currently on the PTR, but it does drain things like mana, rage, etc.

I definitely want to see dual specs as they are now, without any need for a lexicon(Perhaps the lexicon could be added as a summonable respec only class trainer(with fee of course) usable by anyone?). This opens possibilities up so very much and allows people to go from farming dailies to healing heroics in the time it takes for that group of 4 who just replaced someone to summon you.

Also, with "Players will now be able to queue for battlegrounds from any location.", I'm assuming that people can queue up from anywhere in the world and thus when they are told they can join a bg, they can just hit swap spec from their grinding spec to their pvp spec and quickly play a round of battlegrounds, and then swap back quickly afterwards to continue the grind. Well, that's what I'm imagining when I think of the wording.

Yeah, those new players who have a thousand gold to spend on dual specs.

Quiver ladies, quiver.

1000g is crazy for a level 43 priest who wants to heal the occasional dungeon on the way to 80.

Honestly, what's the point in the 1000g fee again? I've spent tens of thousands of gold in this game, so it's not like I haven't made gold in the past, I just don't see the need for a fee for duel specs.

The occasional? You can heal any dungeon from 1-60 with any spec.

Pizza Hut > Dominos
Proactiv is overpriced, anything benzoyl peroxide-based will do the job just as effectively and cheaper
Blizzard cant even get their ads right.

Very happy with the change you guys decided to implement here. Especially happy that the 1000g cost remained, even at level 40. Like I (and many other players suggested), this way new players won't be so "confused" about it, they'll be deterred until they can amass that gold... if they ever need the feature that is.

This is proof that Blizzard DOES in fact read player feedback if it is posted in a civil, logical, and well-written tone.

:)
