Why are you girls getting your panties in such a bind about reduced prices?

Aren't we supposed to like things that are free, or cheap? I mean, this is a good thing? YES?

I mean, did I just step through the looking glass?

What is wrong with free?

I mean, really?

You girls got my scrunchy all in a bunch.

I'm not paying 1000g to tank and do something I don't want to.

This isn't a survey of who will be buying the dual spec option thread.

Q u o t e:

Can you PLEASE make something where you can just switch between two specs, nothing else, and it has to be at your trainer but it's FREE? And if you want to change either of the specs individually then you pay respec fees like usual?

PLEASE??? I really and truly am just about in tears over this. It ruins the whole game for me, because this is all I've been looking forward to for so long. This isn't just the forums crying, I feel like I've been lied to, because why would something that's supposed to save money for people who aren't respecing so much as switching between 2 specs, cost 1k gold???

Wow....you really need to seek help. I play maybe 3 nights a week, from 9~11 maybe 12...and I easily sit at 1500g t0 1000g weekly. And I am a full time tank for goodness sake. Hell I have the highest respec costs ! I do not farm, sell, or do any of the big money makers...I basically do some heroics, and when I get food stuffs, I sell everything that drops from mobs. Yeah all of those goops and white trash armour....yeah they pay in gold later.

The dual specs are for people who truly raid, and need to respec. Or people who raid and pvp perhaps. I myself was thinking about it..having a ret pvp spec....but hehe with the changes to prot, Hell I think 'll just toss on my ret gear and pvp as Prot !!

Short version: If you do not need the respec, do not use it. 1000$ gold is trivial amount to get.

Paladins are the consummate knights in shining armor, meant to be in the thick of things. - they are tanks overall.

Evil does not fight fair, so nor do I

Dear Blizzard,

Please stop listening to the crybabys. They cry that one thing is too hard, they cry that they have to repair from one wipe in your raid instances. They cry that they have to take more time that sponsored guilds to do something.

Blizzard. Since the crying has contiunued over the years. The game has gone from having a fun time clearing an instance like Mara at level 49, to getting heroic gear by just standing in one place and pressing your aoe button over and over. Guilds break up now because they wipe in one wing of Naxx. People feel entitled to be able to PuG their way through the entire game. No longer do guild mates form friendships so easily. No, a guild is hardly necessary because everything is just a log on for a few nights a week and run with random people you don't know.

You have made great changes to the game mechanics over the years, one thing you shouldn't do is make this a game for entitlits. The entitlists think they are entitled to everything with minimal effort. They do not understand the pleasure of obtaining something the hard way. They are not like us old fashioned, old farts.

So scribes will no longer need to my a lexicon(sp?) of power to swap specs anymore? What is the requirement then, it just happens?

Not when it costs 1,000g. I would say for the average level 40 character, that's not a trivial cost.

This requirement has been removed.

Please support your Alt-lovers. Alts are what are keeping me in this game. I've got 10 mouths to feed, and at least 6 hybrids. I need to have all my little babies have dual-spec. Lower costs helps alt-lovers stay in the game!!!!!

That's what will be expected though. I mean a class that can tank and can heal, will never be able to DPS again.

This is true.

So you can use dual specs at 40?

You: My class > Mages
Me: Yeah, but do you have a floating city?

I'm very fond of the drop of the lexicon, and the lowering of dual specs to 40 and above. Well done, Blizzard. Thanks for listening to the playerbase.

Now, um....lower that cost to...say 200 gold, maybe even 400? Please?

You literally just click a button, and after a 5 second cast, your specializations, glyphs, and action bars swap. You must be out of combat, and it still cannot be used in battlegrounds or arenas. There is currently no cooldown on the ability to swap specializations though.

Welcome to the forums. I love you.

Q u o t e:
and this is why catering to casuals was terrible

anything that even remotely requires some small effort is a burden for them

i would like to see this lifestyle these QQ casuals lead that they can't put in some small ounce of effort because my guild has a doctor who works ER, masters and PhD students, family men and women who work and have kids and yet they find the time to do their things IRL and raid

maybe the casuals are just terrible at organizing themselves

Casuals make way more money than raiders. I should know, I went from being a casual to a raider, and from being rich to having trouble maintaining 1000 gold on my character.

Dual spec was supposed to be for raiders who also want to be able to pvp or kill anything outside of a group. It's not a free omgz respec whenever I feel like a new spec. These two specs will be set in stone, just like your current one spec. You have to pay for respec if you want to change them.

And yes I know I need to get off the computer now. I'm probably going to quit this game too, there is no point in playing if I can't even have my dual spec without spending everything I have saved up.

Ok i take back wanting you to do away with the respec cost, with this flexibility and two set specs becoming standard for my mains (and the presetting talents before you confirm) my respec costs will likely drop down to the minimum 15g over time which is fine in my book.

Very cool! I was looking forward to leveling inscription to profit from this, but probably won't now.

EDIT: I think a cool down would be a good idea, but then again, there's no cool down on respecing now, so IDK.

Hmm, I'm starting to see why this costs 1000g now. I guess it just screws over people like me, who were expecting it to be something entirely different.

A very cool feature though, for people with the money for it.
