Q u o t e:

Dual specialization isn't something everyone needs. It's a perk we're adding into the game, and it's initially going to require an investment. If you can't afford dual specializations for 10 different characters, you might not actually need all 10 of your characters to be able to swap between two specializations on a whim.

With a single 5-second, out of combat cast, players level 40 or higher will instantly be able to swap between two different talent specializations, glyph sets, and action bar set-ups from virtually anywhere in the world.

That kind of convenience and versatility shouldn't be obtained with absolute triviality.

im curious here does this "convenience" include us having to buy lexicons of power from the AH everytime we want to respec?

if so with the added price i have to say this is a really god awful idea.

hell id prefer the dance studio over this if i knew you guys wouldnt screw that up too.

and this is why catering to casuals was terrible

anything that even remotely requires some small effort is a burden for them

i would like to see this lifestyle these QQ casuals lead that they can't put in some small ounce of effort because my guild has a doctor who works ER, masters and PhD students, family men and women who work and have kids and yet they find the time to do their things IRL and raid

maybe the casuals are just terrible at organizing themselves

Q u o t e:

Can you PLEASE make something where you can just switch between two specs, nothing else, and it has to be at your trainer but it's FREE? And if you want to change either of the specs individually then you pay respec fees like usual?

PLEASE??? I really and truly am just about in tears over this. It ruins the whole game for me, because this is all I've been looking forward to for so long. This isn't just the forums crying, I feel like I've been lied to, because why would something that's supposed to save money for people who aren't respecing so much as switching between 2 specs, cost 1k gold???

i agree, you need a break if this is bringing you to tears.

So once we buy the dual spec thinger, we'll be able to change specs anytime and anywhere we want??

Actually no, the 1000g cost wasn't "known for a while now", they only sprung it on us with the PTR release yesterday. Lie more please.

1000g is pocket change unless you play once a week

I find it hard to believe that the 40 or higher would be a mistype. lets think about it, they have been saying all along it will be at max level 80, which means you would have to type level 80 or higher which doesn't make any sense like 40 or higher does. Heres hoping they stick to the lvl 40 "typo" / slipup / whatever!

I was disappointed at the cost until I read this. Lowered from 80 to 40? Being able to do it anywhere and not just at a lexicon?

I'll pay the 1k.

Being able to do it at level 40 isn't triviality?

Not when it costs 1,000g. I would say for the average level 40 character, that's not a trivial cost.

This requirement has been removed.

It's not a respec, you neanderthal. It's set in stone.

Big, big difference.

Edit: also, I didn't know forum trolls are usually happy, fun people who like silly names. Oh wait, they aren't.

Actually it's not set in stone, you can change either spec by following the current prcedure and paying the current fee, but what do I know, I just sell car insurance on TV...

I was extremely happy to be getting dual specs until I realized that Blizzard is using it as an excuse to murder PvE Discipline Priests.

"lol you have 2 spex nao. spec holly 4 raids."

Hooray.. falling asleep at the wheel here..

fix'd!! I can see you're not fluent in retard so I wanted to point out that holy is spelled holly in the retard dictionary.

People would complain on these forums, if there was a post about boobs and bigger boobs and Blizz was handing out free samples.

I'm not paying 1000g to tank and do something I don't want to.

I really don't understand why people are complaining about the cost. Compared to things like epic flight training, dual-spec isn't a big deal. It's the same cost as cold weather flying. It's not a lot. A day or two of questing in Northrend will give you about 700g+ without being max level (assuming you pick up and sell all drops / rewards you don't need, even greys). If you are max level, it will only take half as long.

I do agree that it would be best to either lower the level requirement, or make it so that once your first character has it at 80, your others are also able to purchase it for the same price (as this assumes you've been playing long enough to know at least a little bit about how to play).

But lowering the price to 100g? That's pocket change to almost anyone above level 50 who doesn't spend every copper they have as they get it. If you're having trouble affording dual-spec, then you need to learn how to budget yourself and/or use the AH.

(This is coming from someone who doesn't even have a lot of gold compared to most my level, but understands the need to work and strive for this sort of landmark ability.)

That's what will be expected though. I mean a class that can tank and can heal, will never be able to DPS again.

being able to tank, heal, and dps is versatility and convenience.

Being able to pvp and pve, or raid and farm is...uhm...playing the game.

dual should be baseline, 3+ at a cost.
