yeah, w/o res, i got cracked for 4500, and then creamed with 6100 by a 68 dk, unless you are really really good and can CC him before he pops IBF forget it.

DK/pally works this way with me mage. We get a sap on the DK (Mage usually has to go invis to stop combat from the pet), blow the FUCK out of the pally and make him bubble, then reset. Get another sap hopefully on the DK, then blow the fuck out of the pally again and kill him. Pop whatever CDs you can to reset again, then kill the DK before he kills both of you. The entire match is solely reliant on the reset/getting bubble up fast. I think out of our 41 games we've been 5-2 with holy/DK?
Edit: For the spec fixing, copy my current armories spec. It's the best point distribution for rogue/mage.
I run rogue/ret and we used to use a strat very similar to this. However, I think you'll find that after the nerfs to bone armor and icebound fortitude you're better off nuking the DK, even more so since your mage dps goes through BoP more easily than my retadin's damage.
Sap the pally, blow up DK. If the pally waits out the sap then blind (or sheep). Make sure to overlap a tad to reduce the risk of BoPs. The pally will be forced to bubble out of your CC at this point, and you can either 1) reset the fight as best you can or 2) continue to blow up the DK through heals/BoP as best you can. Which you choose mostly depends on how low you get him before the pally bubbles out of blind/sheep.
If the DK is still alive after bubble - the pally's trinket should already be down. Blind or sheep him, depending which is still unused and therefore off DR. Blow up the DK again, at this point he doesn't even have icebound fortitude left and will go down like a dress on prom night.
Couple salient points and that should do ya.
-Use evasion early, you're going to blow prep quickly in this fight anyhow and if the DK gets a decent icebound fortitude off you'll be stunless.
-Save Cloak of Shadows to be paired with your vanish. To most of you that might be a no brainer, but for those like me who are slow it's the only way to reset against a DK.
-The gargoyle and the pet are bugged against vanish/steal. LoS them immediately after resetting the fight.
